tell me about Canadian at par

I was wondering if you could tell me about the Canadian at par for WDW...when it becomes available, can I just put a deposit down or do I havf to pay it in full....anything else you can tell me. Also, what would be a good time to go....to avoid big crowds. We were thinking a week or two before Christmas...but maybe too many others go at that time to avoid the same thing.

Any info would be great.

I did the Cdn @ Par deal for the first time last year. Some prefer not to have a package but we liked the offer so we're doing the same again this year. Not sure when/if they'll offer it again or how they will package it. For the @ Par deal you had to get the Dreamaker package with the Unlimited Park Hopper passes (no longer offered now that MYW is out) and pay by VISA. Last year you had to book by some time in Jan04 with travel stays commencing before April 30/04. This year you had to book by Dec 1/04 with travel stays commencing before April 16/05. I think the offer was announced in Oct04?

You have to pay US$200 on your VISA at the time you confirm your reservation. You don't have to pay the balance until 45 days before your arrival date at WDW.

Just took another look at your question.

It doesn't look like Christmas time travel is an option (at least not for the last 2 years). They make you book between early January thru April.

They had quite a few discounts available last year - We did the Cdn visa at Par over Easter and the pay for 5 stay for 7 package in October (at least I think that's what they were called). Over Xmas they offered annual pass, general public room only and pkgs and a McDonald's code discounts anyone could use.

This year I bought Annual Passes and am hoping for an AP rate in early December this year.
