I tried doing a search to look for reviews of BRG, but some days the search works for me and other days it doesn't :confused3 Apparently today is one of the "doesn't" work days . . .

Anyway, we are trying to decide between WCC and BRG. I'm leaning towards BRG so we could spend the night on the Boardwalk, but for some reason I thought I had read some not so good reviews of BRG in the past, so I need the expert DISers to let me know what it's like!

I looked at the menu on the BRG website and it looks great. It actually shows more options than what's listed on Allears, so I think we would like the selection, but what's the food quality like?

Big River Grille did have some good food, WCC is a little more of an interactive dining experience. The food was also good there. WCC takes ADR's where Big River does not. I like the Boardwalk area, if the food sounds good to you and you don't mind waiting, first come first serve for your table, then go for it!

We have always enjoyed Big River. Nice menu, good food, good beers.
Nice to walk around the boardwalk afterwards. If you eat there for lunch and it is a nice day, great place to people watch, sit outside and enjoy!

We used to go to WCC for breakfast quite a bit. Most people enjoy it because of the antics, not the food.

We prefer better food.

I go to BRG at least once every trip. I was most recently there on 2/13/09. The food is not spectacular, but it is solid. I also really like the beers they offer and the service has generally been pretty good. If you have never been there and want to spend time on the Boardwalk area anyway, it is definitely worth trying out.

DH and I really enjoyed our meal at BRG. We sat outside and it was beautiful with the sun going down, relaxing and the ambience was wonderful.

I had the ribs and loved them. DH had the steak and enjoyed that. Its one of the meals at Disney that we felt was well worth it

The worst meal I have ever had at WDW was at BRG last September. :crazy2:

I ordered the daily special which consisted of steak tips, shrimp, asparagus and garlic mashed pototaes. For dessert I had the chocolate cake.

The steak was undercooked (I ordered it med/rare and it came cool red center which is rare), the shrimp and garlic mashed were lukewarm, the asparagus was limp (i.e. overcooked) and the cake was very forgetable. It was not a "special" in any way.

The best way I could describe this meal is it was like reheating leftovers in the microwave at home and not putting it in for enough minutes.

The only redeeming qualitiy of BRG was I signed up for their email club and they sent me a coupon for a free appetizer. The Chicken Quesadilla was excellent. The beer sampler was good too, but really, how can you mess up beer?

Maybe they had an off day, but with so many other choices on the Boardwalk that I enjoyed (ESPN Club, Spoodles, Cape May) it may be a while before they get another chance from me.

If you do decide on BRG, about 30 days before your trip, go to their website to sign up for there email club. You'll get a free appetizer. Don't sign up too early because the coupon does have an expiration date. Also, I'd keep away from the leftovers (I mean Daily Specials). :rotfl:

I'm doing WCC this trip when I stay at the WL in May, so I can't speak to that option yet.

Have a good trip whatever you decide.:goodvibes
