I love the holiday season at DW so, my family always visits in late fall/early winter. However, we are planning two trips next year, and are thinking about making one of them late April. I know that one bonus will be having extended park hours, but we stay onsite so, we would get EMHs which somewhat negates that perk. How are the weather, crowds, etc. that time of year? Also, how does the flower and garden festival compare to food and wine? Any tips/advice for late April? Thanks in advance!

They are trying diligently to "modernize" flower and garden, so they added some food booths this past year. I suspect they will add more next year. We go in late april every other year or so for my birthday (April 30). You may get a bit more crowds than usual since Easter is in April, but it is early april so they won't be too bad at all. That said, if you hold off two weeks and go mid may, you can hit flower and garden and star wars. We finally did star wars this past may. We are not huge fans of the series, so we probably won't go again unless it just works out to coincide, but it was worth seeing once. Just a thought.

Expect consistently beautiful weather and busy crowds in April. As the previous poster mentioned.. Mid-may is a better time to visit. Less busy, better weather and overall quieter in the area.

Disney really does a fabulous job with the Flower and Garden. It's very impressive.

Went the last week of April and beginning of May this year. We had 2 very rainy days, but the rest of the time the weather was near perfect, warm but not too hot. Early morning crowds were very manageable, a little busy in the afternoon. I will definitely go back at this time of year.

Last year we went in April and it was HOT and the crowds were horrible but manageable. My kids had their Easter vacation opposite of the usual time so we thought we would be safe, but it was still busy. The heat was the main issue! We swore we would never go that close to summer again and what did we do this year...went in May! :lmao: Dumb! We're serious....never again! We'll stick with early Spring or fall....which we plan on fall next year.
