Tell me about Ann Arbor, Michigan

I'll be heading to Ann Arbor in May for business. I am the only one from my dept going and don't really know many others in other depts. I will probably have a lot of my own down time.

What is there to do in Ann Arbor?

I think you'll find that you will spend most of your time wishing you were back in Frederick, MD.

Ann Arbor is one of the nicer areas in southeast MI and is very nice in May normally (unlike say Feb). It is a college town, and a pretty fun one at that. A lot of good resturants, bars, shops. It is also a pretty area in MI.

The campus of U of M is very nice. Rather spred out though.

I'll defend 'em too, my dad went to law school at UM and has turned me into a Wolverine fan. Even though I live in Wisconsin, I say forget the Badgers!!! Hopefully we'll be going to the UW-UM game in the fall.
