Their website stinks. I am having trouble figuring my exact cost before I move on too far with checkout.

I see my fares... but I can't figure out baggage costs. It says $15-30. Is it $15 for 1st and $30 for next or what? Also, do they charge to gate check a large double jog stroller? How about car seats, are they are charge to check? Will have two of them. Any other experiences? I am used to SW were I don't have to worry about fees, but this airline is cheaper thus far (before bags and fees)....

There website is not the most user friendly and yes you must complete all travelers info prior to getting to the point of figuring the exact cost. We also have always only flown SW but because SW flights were ridiculously high and I was able to catch the $19 sale with Allegiant for my dates we went with them. When entering info and playing on their site keep going even though it looks like you are booking. Once you enter the passengers names it will bring up the next screen which shows flight info, seat assignments, and what they call priority boarding. You can leave it as is or change seats or remove priority boarding or seat assignments. Then do the same for your return flight. It will automatically assign you priority boarding for $9.99 and the most expensive seat available. Like I said you can manipulate it once you put in the travelers names. After that click continue, it will make you sign in/and or create an account to continue, do this. It's no biggie, plus if you want to go back and forth and play it will be much easier to jsut sign in here.
At that point you will see the cost, any add-ons or extra's you may want and also it will show baggage for each customer. You can select bags for any or all of the travelers. My husband and I are each checking a bag on our trip but I did not check bags for my DD. I measured their suitcases and each of them measured in under the allowed carry-on. As far as your stroller question, I have not flown them yet, but I do believe all airlines will allow you to gate check strollers, usually at no cost.

Our upcoming RT flight for 5 non-stop 2 checked bags ended up costing us $425!!! That's about a 1/4 of the price it was going to cost us on SW!

Hope this helps!

I agree, they don't make it easy to quickly check availability or prices! Like the OP stated, don't forget to "DE-SELECT" the Prioroty Boarding fees, to remove them (unless you are choosing to pay for that option). You can also save the $15 Convenience Fee by booking at an airport - I've never done this since it would be too much of a hassle to get there, park, & to be there at a time when they are. In our small airport Allegiant reps are only there to book flights 1 hour prior to one of their flights departing (which is only 4 days a week at this point).

All that being said, however, their fares are generally low enough that I put up with the inconveniece. We had horrible service on our last Allegiant flight, but I'm a believer of you get what you pay for. We got our seats for $19.99 & had no checked bags, no seat assignments, etc. so the low cost far outweighed the convenience of having superior service, to me.

there used to be a kiosk at the lehigh vlly mall... so no conv fee..also just get there early and pick yr seats...i do that and were fine...1 time it was delayed for 9 hours leaving allentown...they gave us some vouchers but we just came home and relaxed...

Be careful to check what city you are flying into. Some Orlando flights go into MCO, some go into Sanford. It should specify.
