Tell me about AirTran

Usually go SWA out of BUF but the price doesn't look good for my trip down in October. Trip back looks good so I was thinking about AirTran down and SWA back.

Waht is AritTran like? Always woried about airline I don't know. Lost money when JetsGo went under.

Lots about them over on the transportation board - my brother flew with them in March and he said the flight there was great - flight home got cancelled though and he ended up driving home as they couldn't get him on another flight until 4 days later.

We are using them from Rochester to Tampa on the May long weekend - then my brother booked us with them for our August trip. Hopefully they are ok!!

We flew AirTran roundtrip from Detroit last fall and didn't have a problem.

Read the back of your pretzel package when they pass them out. Pretty funny!

I've flown with them, and am going again with them in August. I did see a couple of horror stories recently, but I'm going to assume they were an odd occurrence. They are notorious for changing flight times, so if you have multiple stops, it can really mess up your schedule. Other than that, I could not beat the price for my Aug trip ... $425 US return for 4 people!

A little nervous about having a flight cancelled. We are going on a cruise so if the flight got delayed more than 1 day we could miss the boat.
