Can you purchase a package deal (room and tickets) with AAA and can you add the dining plan on to that? What are some of the benefits of using AAA to book your Disney trip?

Thanks,

Loralie

You can do a package with AAA and add the dining plan. I was at AAA this morning, and asked if I had booked a package and gotten dining, would I still be able to get the room discount? She said yes I could have done that. I booked room only on the AAA website the other day. I debated about the package, but at the Disney Store here they were still selling park tickets at 2005 prices until today, so I bought them yesterday and saved around $50 on four 7-day park hoppers.

I'm looking at my Disney Vacation book from AAA, and they list benefits such as preferred parking at the resorts, a luggage tag, car rental upgrade, complimentary child seat. Also, you get a AAA Vacations Diamond Card for savings at various restaurants, golf, watercraft excursions, spa and salon services, 10% off purchases at World of Disney Store and others in Downtown Disney, and 15% off certain tours at Disney, plus other discounts. We've been AAA members for over 20 years, and it's always been well worth the money.

I saw it sitting on the travel agent's desk at AAA and I asked her if I could have it. She said they had just gotten them in. It also says in the book that one of the benefits of booking a package with AAA is getting that book. Besides the benefits, it just explains about the package and resorts, fastpasses and gives prices for packages at the different resorts in the different seasons. The prices make it easy to compare different tickets, resorts and times of the year, but all the other information you can find out easily online or in more detail in a guidebook.

I am fed up with the agents in KY. Can anyone suggest a good agent that knows about Disney? I tried to search but it wouldn't work. Any help is appreciated!

I'm in Louisville too. Have you tried the AAA office at the Watterson and 42? I booked my rooms online with the AAA web site, but I went in to make changes and talked with Kristin. I'm not really sure how knowledgeable she is, but I asked her a question about the dining plan, she said she had booked packages with it the day before. The agent who was sitting next to her overheard my questions, and she seemed knowledgeable about Disney too, maybe more so, but I don't know what her name is.
