Having stayed only at Deluxe until my venture to CSR this summer,(2 times this summer I liked it so much!), will I like a value resort? and my last choice in that category was ASMU,which is the only thing I was able to get for the week of Thanksgiving. Will I like it or should I try to keep calling to change to Pop or ASMO? I am getting the incredible rate of $49 with AP (for that amount, I would almost sleep in WDW parking lot!). This is 3rd trip for the year, so need to save money. Opinions, advise and location requests are appreciated....

The all stars are all the same except for the theme's. Pop is just newer. I am staying at ASmo this coming week and love it. @ adults and 2 children. We only plan on sleeping at the hotel so this is fine for me plus my kids love the theme. Food courts not to bad plus at check in there is a movie playing in a little theatre for the kids while the adults check in. Buses are ok never wait longer then 10 minutes.

I stayed at All-Star Music in Fall 2002 prior to that I had never stayed at one of the value resorts, but it wasn't bad at all. We were in the rock section and had a fast walk to the busses and I thought the pool was enjoyable. The transportation was great we never had a long wait (no more than 10 minutes) for a bus at the resort or at the parks. The all star movies will be the exact same as the music just replace big guitars/cowboyboots/jukeboxes with Dalmations/Woody/Mighty Ducks. I think you will be fine there. Enjoy the trip :)

I agree! It has a very serene feel to it vs. the others.

You may be a little disappointed if you are used to using the pool often as there are no slides or jacuzzi's at the value resorts but for $49.00 a night. The price is right!

We like Music the best also - haven't been to Pop yet.

FYI - Calypso are the preferred buildings, cost an extra $10/night.

I've not stayed at an AS resort, but have visited and decided the theme was too over the top for me..but I did stay at the POP last Feb and although I dreaded a value resort it turned out to be great. It's new, clean and still has that fresh feel to it -also nothing is that far away. If you want more quiet try for the 50's section, around room 2456 - you face the lake and parking lot, but it's quiet and you can see the top of Illuminations and other fireworks each night! It's my favorite section of POP - sweet. Lady and the Tramp are there and a pool shaped like a bowling pin!
So, I would keep trying - something could come up at the alst minute! I got that $49 rate and it's pretty irresistable!!!

Wherever you stay, it'll be great fun!

I went with a friend who is decidedly "deluxe only". I think she wasn't too sure if she would like the value resorts when we stayed at the ASMusic for the first time, but she ended up really liking it to the point where she's requested the value resorts for next year as well (POP for 2005) . I think she likes it because we are really in the parks all day long, and love coming home only to relax at the end of the day and to sleep. For those purposes, and for $49/night (we had the AP rate too), we definitely like All Stars and hopefully POP next year. We stayed in Jazz, it was very nice.
