Tell be about 1900 Fare

This is one of my favorite Disney buffet dinners. I think the food is wonderful. I also enjoy CP but put Cape May on the same level with Shoney's.

Thank you! I'd been telling DS she'd be there. :)

Mary occasionally is not there for the entire breakfast time. We've been there before when Mary went AWOL for an hour or so and someone else filled in (happened with Fairy Godmother at dinner too). Mary is there most of the time. But if she's not there when you check in, just ask to see if she'll be back. If she's there when you check in, make sure to see her in case she's gone when you're leaving.

Hi, we were there in Dec and Alice was there at the breakfast and Mary Poppins was in the lobby for pictures and autographs. The food on the breakfast buffet was good, we are going back this December and going to the breakfast @ 1900 Park Fare and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club we have had good food at both and some Great pictures. Don't forget your camera and autograph book.... Have a great time!

The first time I went to 1900 Park Fare was in the summer of 1996. There was Goofy, Minnie, and Chip-n-Dale. Mary Poppins was in the front greeting everyone. The castmembers as well as the characters were so polite, courteous and heart-warming. Well, yes times have changed but the one thing that hasn't is the same hospitality. I gone there maybe 12 times. I plan to go there 2 times for my next trip (Oct 10-24, 05) The buffett is so good. There's a chef that cooks omlettes right infront of you. The orange juice taste good as well. As far as the characters, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, and Eyeore are the main ones there. In the front before you go in the dinning room, seems to be revolving rotation per certain days. Mary Poppins, Snow White and Cinderella have been there the last 3 times I was there.

Don't get me wrong, if you want to see Goofy, Chip-n-Dale, Minnie and Mickey, the other ones are good to. But for a Victorian flare, this is the place to be.

Thanks for all of the info!!! I will definately be making an ADR for 1900.

I think I will bring one of my twins Alice dress that she got at WDW last year so she can wear it to breakfast.

If she loves Alice you should do the tea party it is a hoot. Not cheap about 30 but worth every bit. The kids all loved it.

And we have tried all of them except Ohanas at breakfast.

We have eaten breakfast here 5 or 6 times.

The characters we see every time are: M Poppins, the Dick Van **** character, a Penguin, Mad Hatter, Alice, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger.

We have also seen at one or more breakfasts: Pinocchio, Gepetto, and Belle.

The buffet has made-to-order omlettes, waffles, pancakes, meats, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs (my kids' favorite), oatmeal, yogurt, and STRAWBERRY SOUP. The classiest and best (in our opinion) buffet on property.

I hope you like it. I really don't think you will be disappointed!

Can someone clarify something for me on 1900 Park Fare? For awhile, I was under the impression it was only the girly-tea party type place. Recently I found out it had a buffet too....So am I correct in understanding that breakfast and dinner are regular character buffet meals and lunch is the tea party? Or the tea party at "tea time" and they have regular meals breakfast/lunch/dinner?

Alice is there for breakfast. Dinner is a good character alternative if you can't get into Cindy's. The breakfast was good, usual fare, but plenty of it. I did find the restaurant a bit dirty at the buffet in my opinion but I'm real picky about that. Dinner was good, I just didn't care for some of the choices. The people sitting next to us were eating their weight in Mussels if you like those they must have been good.

Last xmas we went for breakfast and had one of the last seatings. Well I don't know if it was pixie dust or what but because the restaurant was almost empty when we were finishing up, Belle and Mary Poppins came and got the girls and took them outside to that courtyard and played with them and let them pick flowers while the adults finished up. You want to talk about beaming from ear to ear!

We did both this trip in July and the dinner interaction was good. Cinderella only came around once but the mice and Prince Charming spent alot of time at each table repeatedly. For breakfast the girls wore their Alice dresses and she got the biggest kick out of that and took them to the middle of the restaurant and was playing ring around the rosie with them. They loved it!

I'm not sure, but you may be getting it confused with the "My Perfectly Princess Disney Girl's tea party" (or something like that) which is at the Garden Vue tea room at the GF. They are DEFINITELY different places (starting with the price). 1900 PF does only character meals. It has bfast and dinner.

I agree that 1900 PF is the BEST buffet I have tried on property!! I have been there several times for bfast and dinner, and love them both. I am SOOO sad that my dd chose not to go back there this trip (we gave her the choice of 2 character meals...she chose Cape May and the castle). Eating at 1900 PF the evening we arrive has become a tradition for my family to "kick off" our trip. I usually skip the "grown-up" table and head straight for the corn dog nuggets (to me, just like the ones on main st.) and the "world-famous" mac 'n cheese....ahhhh!!!! The waiter/waitress sometimes feels compelled to tell my I went to the "wrong" area of the buffet, but little do they know....I CRAVE those foods!!!

Why should it matter what part of the buffet you go to? They should be thanking you because they save money on the more expensive "adult" items!
I'll be going to 1900 for the first time for breakfast on the last day we are there. It will be my last major meal before we return to reality
I can't wait to go! This sounds like an awesome place to be!

Ah-ha! That's what I was doing! Thanks!! :)

We just ate at 1900 Park Fare last night for dinner. Alice just so happened to be at dinner, but Prince Charming was absent. I thought the meal was very good! The only items I wish they would consider serving would be a plain potato item and rice. Besides veggies, they only had mashed sweet potato. The chef did bring me out a bowl of plain white rice upon my request though. The characters only came to our table once to greet our dd, but we saw them several times throughout the meal making sure that they saw each new table. As Cinderella came around the 2nd time she just waved at dd, then stopped at the next table that was not there when she made her first rotation. The dessert bar is the best!! Wish I saved room for more!!
