What are your thoughts about television cross-over shows? Normally they don't bother me too much or I don't even notice. But the Grey's Anatomy/Station 11 crossovers drive me bonkers. I feel like I miss a big part of the story line (like the conclusion of the story). I don't watch Station 11 and I have no desire too.

Im not a big fan of it, and like you I dnt watch station 11, so I just miss it, but I love all my Chicago's series, so I watch all of them

If I watch both (all) the shows it is great.

When I don't I hate them. I am with you on the Grey's/Station 11 crossovers. I actually started watching Station 11 this season, since I have Hulu now and don't have to worry about if I can DVR it anymore. I am pretty sure it conflicted with other things and wasn't able to before.

I watch Grey's and Station 19......doesn't bother me.
I too love the 3 Chicago shows. DH only watches the PD one and it doesn't bother him when they cross over.
They did have SVU and PD cross over a couple of times too

I will watch the Chicago crossovers. I have on occasion watched the SVU/PD ones but the great thing about these series is that you don’t *have* to watch them. One will catch you up to the other. I did watch the last Station 19/Grey’s but only because they switched the times. I was surprised by how much I would have missed. That said, Station 19 is TERRIBLE. I really struggled to get through it and onto Grey’s.

Ally McBeal/The Practice had one. It was ok.

The yearly crossovers for the CW Arrowverse Shows.

Don't remember other ones

Have there been Disney cross overs? I love the old 70’s tv ones when Laverne and Shirley would be on Happy Days, but what about Jiminy Cricket crossing over with Mickey? I can’t think of any, but I‘d love to hear about any you know of.

I am not a fan. I can not stand Station 19 and feel like the network is tricking people into watching both shows.
I kind of agree. The took Ben from Grey's and put him on Station 19 to try to expand the Shandaverse. But when it didn't take off like they hoped, now they do a couple crossovers a season to try to draw more viewers in.

It can get confusing when you don't watch a show included in the crossover but I normally feel like I can grasp enough.

For example:

We watch Chicago PD together and I watch Chicago Med by myself neither of us watch Chicago Fire. Whenever there is a crossover event we'll record Chicago Fire and then we'll watch PD and Med and Fire. It's not normally too bad to get the picture you do miss the relationships between the folks and past dramas but we can ignore that in favor of the overlaping story arc.

I watch SVU by myself though they haven't done it in a long while there were a handful of crossover episodes with Chicago PD so my husband would watch the SVU episodes with me then. At least in respects to SVU he's familiar with the show and characters even though he hasn't watched the newer seasons sans Elliot character.

Hawaii 5-0 just had a crossover episode with Magnum P.I. I have watched Hawaii 5-0 but on Netflix and I'm only on the 2nd season I believe there. I wasn't familiar with the newer characters but I did have knowledge of the core characters that have stuck around so that helped.

Now as far as Station 19 I do watch both but I get why they thought to switch the time slots. As an article said you'll follow the firefighters to the hospital rather than try to do it the other way around. BUT it does seem like they want more interconnectedness and I think both of these shows IMO would be harder to ignore the relationships and whatnot like Chicago shows do--I think that may come from the fact that while both shows are dramas Greys and Station 19 are much more romantic in nature.

It was years ago, but didn't Law & Order do a crossover with Homicide: Life on the Streets? I mean - Richard Belzer crossed all the way over when Homicide was cancelled. I don't follow all the shows, but the John Munch character has ended up on how many different shows?

They did two actually. One I believe had a Homicide part but the other was just one episode of L&O with Homicide guest stars. Munch has actually appeared on many shows.

I started with Grey's. Oops! I guess I didn't miss anything.

When do you think the Chicago shows are going to appear on Netflix or some other streaming service? I'm going to have alot to watch when that happens.
