Wow, what a pain for a $25 gift card...I had to take a half day off work to be home to receive a package from FedEx that required a direct signature - no options to divert or leave the package. Never needed to do that before. I had no idea who it was from either. And FedEx seems to think delivering a package to a residential address at the same early afternoon time every day is a good idea, and then telling you you need to make a 90 minute round trip to pick it up or they'll send it back...
All it was was the referral gift card.
When the AP referral program happened, they had no problem sending 6 of them without requiring a direct signature...
