The first time we went to TL in Feb 1996, we all got sunburn even with suncream on. The next two times we made sure we had teeshirts on when we went to TL and BB, both times again in February.

This year going in July and intend visiting BB. I know the sun is going to be a lot stronger and intend making everyone wear teeshirts as added protection. However, kids are now teenagers and don't want to stand out.

Anybody seen people wearing teeshirts in the waterparks?

We have seen lodas of peole wear t shrt's and we go in feb.I guess there would be lot more wearing the during summer for thje added protection as you said.

I'm sure it's allowed but you would have to take them off on some slides.

That's right, shoes, loose clothing and shorts with metal zips, fasteners or rivets are not allowed on many tube rides etc.

Thanks for the info, I will dig out some old teeshirts to take with us.

The best thing for the waterparks are the surfer type t shirts, they dry very quickly stay tight and dont get baggy when wet and they are cool for teenagers we bought them in surf shops

What a good tip, thank you. I will have a look on the net, do you know any brands or sites which I can look at?

We used lioninthesun.co.uk. We got the 2 piece swim outfit for ds2and 2 adult tops for us to share. Have used these guys several times and they are very promp and prices are the best I could find here.

Thanks Karen, I will have a look at that site. :)

Surf shirts hey? That sounds like a plan - we ALWAYS wear t shirts to the water parks whatever the time of year as I'm fair and burn in 10 minutes in england on a cloudy day :0(

I usually just wear a normal tshirt but they are a pain when ringing wet and can make you feel a bit chilly if its a cloudy day - i might check the site out too

:0)

Hi yes they are the quick drying surf tops, although not the tight ones most surfers wear. They are the looser kind.

Our DS2 is disabled and gets cold very quickly so these tops are a real help, they don't make him overheat either and they also don't go all out of shape. They are sunprotected too and cover the neck so I only have to worry about the bits that stick out!(ears, forearms and from the knee down)

Hope that helps would post a link but I'm not that computer able

I have had a look at the site, Karen, they look spot on. Thanks again.

Just to say thanks again, I would not have thought of this type of tee shirt at all till it was mentioned here. We all got some today and am well chuffed with them. :)

So pleased your pleased!! We wouldn't go without them now.

If you ordered them yesterdat I bet they will be with you either today or tomorrow. We've never waited more than 2 days.

Enjoy your water park time, and I'm jealous as we don't go back until Sept 06

Hi Karen

We finally got around to buying the T-shirt from lioninthesun. Well chuffed with them and the speed of delivery.

Thanks again for the link and the recommendation. :cool1:

Hi, I know its too late now! but another site for future reference is kids-kaper.co.uk, they have lioninthesun products at the same price I think. I ordered shirts and caps for dd and ds 2 years ago (for Lanzarote August!!) and they were great.

I,m pleased that everyone is pleased with what they ordered and the speed of delivery.

I will be ordering a new 2 piece for DS2 next summer. Perhaps I should ask for discount for all the extra tradethey are getting!!!! :sunny:
