I am leaving with my son in about a week. He is 15 years old. What are some of your favorite places to eat on disney property?

Here is what I have please tell me if I should change some.

Kona
Tutto (italian place epcot)
Sci Fi
Maya
Liberty Tree Tavern
Olivias

Any input would be appreciated.
I did ask him and he said mom just plan it

Thanks

I'm 19, and have been going to WDW for all my life, I went to WDW with my male cousin when he was 15, and here are some of his fave restaurants (and my fave as well)

Boma--reeeally good buffet, because you can try new foods, but there are also the classic american foods if you dont want to try the african food, but i love it!
O'hana--SO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD, seriously, I had never seen my cousin eat so much, they just keep on bringing the meat--GREAT for a teenage boy! haha

Any of the Buffets are good really! especially for a 15 year old boy, I would REALLY REALLY recommend those two, especially because they aren't heavily themed or interactive (I don't know how your DS feels about the whole Disney interactive dining thing--like Character meals and such)

Anyways, that's my 2 cents. Have fun on your trip! Hope your DS has a great time!

I love Sci Fi.. it's awesome there.
I'd love to go to Bouma as well.
I think your son will really like the places you've chosen. :D

I've only eaten at Kona out of those that you listed, and I ordered off the kids menu.. so I can't say much on that.

I agree with Caitlin on O'Hanas it was DELICIOUS.

Cosmic Ray's is good for Lunch time in the MK we've been going my whole life and we always eat there.

Also the electric Umbrella is good for lunch time in Epcot

AK has a great breakfast buffet can't remember the name right now but it's the dinosaur one with Donald :D it's one of my fav. Places to eat on property :)

::yes:: I love Cosmic Ray's

ITA. The Sci-Fi was sooo much fun for me & my family...
we laughed so hard when they played the clip of the "50-Foot Woman"
xD
But I agree with most of the places you've chosen. They're all really good :thumbsup2

Yup, that's what I was going to say. I wouldn't recommend Liberty Tree, but that's just me. The service was very slow, and the food wasn't that great. But personally, I'd rather ride rides than eat at a sit down place, anyways. There are plenty of places to get turkey legs, hamburgers, etc., which you can eat while standing in line.

I wouldn't recommend Liberty Tree either ...

But I LOVE Columbia Harbor House, the CS restaurant right near it.

I think all of the restaurants you have a good, i'm 15 too and i'd love to eat at those places.

Hollywood and Vine is, to me, one of the best buffets on property. It's at DHS and it is dee-lish-us.

And I love Le Cellier. We eat there pretty much every trip.

Thanks for the input. Funny I get more help from strangers then my own son.

I love Sci-Fi out of the ones you listed and I also have to give two thumbs up to Boma's. Also if he is into sports the ESPN club on the boardwalk he would like.

i love mama melrose!
we ate there last time, its an italian restaurant in DHS

Kona- I've only been there for breakfast, but food was great. If you guys are coffee drinkers, try ordering some Kona Coffee if you can. It is like Heaven in a cup. Seriously. :goodvibes
Sci Fi- That's one of my favorite restaurants at Disney. I love what some of the other guests do as they're watching the old horror movies. It's hilarious-and the food is quite good too. I like the milkshakes too. We're going to be eating there again as well when we go back in June. :goodvibes
Liberty Tree Tavern- I like it there. We went for dinner last year and the food you get is a lot like the kind you'd have for Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner. I think it's different for lunch tho...but they have food like a cheeseburger and pasta on the menu for then so...yup. :thumbsup2

If you want a really fun place to eat at- I'd suggest 50's Prime Time Cafe. The servers act as if they are your aunt, uncle, cousin, etc and reserve the right to 'discipline' you if they feel the need. My father once attempted to throw a paper airplane at our waitress and he was forced to put his nose to the wall. My sister also got a 'Queen Tattle Tale' hat made out of the kids menu for telling on him. And, thanks to my mother's big mouth, the waiter played 'airplane' with me because I hadn't eaten all of the food on my plate the last time we went...

It's fun tho. Lots of picture opportunities. ::yes::

well some of my favorite resturants in WDW are ....
SciFi dine in theater - it is very amusing and has some good food!
Garden Grill - has amazing food and is very fun! ( i do not recommend this to someone that will get sick if they spin!)
Liberty Tree Tavern - Same again Amazing4 food , but not that nuch entertaining.
50 diner - has good food and acts like you are in the 50's
and that is probably the best resturants i have been to in WDW that i thought were good! hope you have a great vacation.

Another one that's really good is The Coral Reef. They have a chocolate cake that's to die for! :thumbsup2

I was just about to recommend this. It's one of my favorites. I hardly ever notice the spinning unless I concentrate.

I love 50's! My mom refuses to eat pretty much all veggies (I know, what an example! Dad and I love pretty much all veggies). So, on our first trip, she didn't eat her green beans. Our waiter "tsk"ed at her, then left. He came back with a giant serving fork and speared all of her green beans onto it, then held it up to her mouth and told us to take a picture. He's giving her bunny ears in the photo! It was great!

I love it when they say "elbows off the table" and "now, eat everything. you wouldn't want to make ma angry". And I love "Dad's Den" and "Dad's Bar".
