Does anyone have a teenager between the ages of 13 and 16 that went on one of the 7 day cruises? If so, what did they think of it. Were they bored, did they like it? Also, if you have a 12 year old just about to turn 13 that went on the cruise and was unable to go to Common Grounds, what did they think of the trip. Like it, not like it?

Still can't decided if I should go on the cruise or not. Don't want to pay all that money for only my kids to say that they are bored, or bug me all day long.

You are in luck!!! I just turned 14 this past March, and I went to Common Grounds, on the MAGIC as well. I had so much fun there, that my parents would seriously pull me out the door. As for a 12 year old, my sister was 12 when we went on the Magic, (last August) and she said that she was 13, as long as the parent (you) tells whose ever in charge that your child is at least 13, he/she can be apart of the fun in Common Grounds. I was at common grounds from 12:00pm(opening time) to 2:00am(closing time) and never got bored. They have dances, 4 computers with the internet and many games, and a Playstation 1 & 2, and an X-box. So no one will get bored. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, you can shoot on over to teen disney to contact me. My "name" is Big Guy. Or e-mail me, or if you ever see a message from my dad Fidelio, you can ask him.

My ds-12 has only done the kids clubs the last two years and had a great time. When we were deciding to cruise again, I brought up the teen navigators. When he saw the activities listed, he thought he would enjoy them. Some of the activities are for all of the teens, some are for 13-14 and some are for 15-17.

I love common gorunds! that place was so much fun! i am sad that next year i will not be able to go in.... It is just a place where you can hang out... to get away from your parents for a bit. and there is always someone in there and something to do. It is also a meeting place before we go to a movie or get pictures before dinner!

Does anyone know if a 14 yr old can do the 15+ activities? My son is 14 and his friend traveling with us is 15. My son is a year ahead in school so that is the age he is usually with anyway. Is this something he can take care of himself or can I discuss it with the concierge when we check my younger son into the kids club the first day. Thanks.
