Teen girl gift cards

I have some questions for those of you who are giving teen girls gift cards.

What stores will you get the gift cards from?

How much will you put on the cards?

I buy alot of gift cards. Here are some of the favorite places:

Old Navy
Movies
Bowling
Fast food
Barns and Noble
Hastings
Itunes
Gap

Movies enough to cover a ticket and snacks. If they drive then I get them a gift card for Sheetz or Gas and Go with enough on it for a tank of gas and some snacks. Itunes enough for a couple videos or albums. If there bookish then barnes and noble or borders giftcard with enough to buy a current bestseller. Twenty five dollar visa gift card b/c anything less is difficult to spend. Starbucks gift card at least ten dollars. No store branded gift cards b/c style is very subjective. Not everyone likes justice or aeropostale.

I am getting my girls $25 iTunes cards, and the oldest is getting a $25 Barnes and Noble card. When family asks, I'm going to suggest they get them cards to Charming Charlie, Zaxby's, the movies, Charlotte Russe, and McDonalds.

I would ask a mom before I got any gift cards. I know many of the places listed would just go to waste because my DD either never goes there or there isn't one in our area.

Last year my nieces requested American Eagle, Aeropostale, Bath and Body Works, or Rue 21.

Sounds crazy.. but Mcdonald's.. I know there were many times my kids wanted to go there with their friends for a milk shake & fries..then sit in the booths and talk. I doubt one for there would go to waste.

For bithday presents we usually give $25 gift cards to Justice, Aeropostle, Claires, or the AMEX or VISA gift cards. If I know they are "Disney people" I'll give a Disney gift card.

My dd is going on 15 and lives for Itunes! She also likes Target.

And my personal opinion is to get one card with the full amount of whatever you want to spend. ILs give my kids $5 here, $5 there. It is hard to keep up with so many cards!

Kind of ot but if you take those five dollar cards to the service desk at target they can put all of them on a single card.

Barnes and Noble is a HUGE hit around here...but I give neices and nephews Visa. They can spend them at any store.
