My daughter will be turning 13 while we are at Disneyworld As we are travelling from Australia it will be a once in a lifetime trip. Any suggestions on how we can make her actual birthday more memorable. Does Disney do anything special for birthday guests. We are stayting at BWV (renting).

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sandy!! How exciting for your family!! I also have a child who will be celebrating a bday there.(boy turning 11). He turned 6 there on a previous visit and it was soooo fun! We were staying at the All Stars and the lady who checked us in asked who his favorite character was-Buzz Lightyear. Well, the day of his bday, good ole Buzz had "dropped off" a card that was actually his picture, with a bday message for my son.He was exstatic. That night we ate at the German resturaunt and they gave him a small cake and sang happy birthday.

When I called last week, they gave me a phone # for ordering our family a birthday cake to be delivered to the restaraunt we choose for his dinner. Also, if you tell a cast member when you enter the parks that morning, she will get a special birthday button to wear.

I look forward to other posters, because I am curious to what else we can do.Happy Birthday to your daughter!!

Well, i think a birthday in Disney world would be so memorable! You could maybe take her out to dinner at a really fancy resteraunt!

:bday: :cake: Great place to celebrate a b-day!

Here are my suggestions to make ANYONE'S B-Day special regardless of age.

Make sure you stop at all of the customer service booths and ask for a special b-day button (MK it is the Town Hall) The buttons are big and all parks have a different design on them. Anyone who sees it will wish her a happy b-day and you never know what else might happen. (when I was there for my 35th I got pulled up into parade)

A restaurant that we went to was great AND I noticed on the board about 2 weeks ago that it still happens:
In the Coral Reef if you ask for the "scuba Package" during your meal at some time a scuba diver will swim up to the glass with a big sign that says "happy b-day __________" Afterwards he will come in and give her/him the sign giving you a chance to take a pic. This is FREE just gotta ask for it. Call restaurant DIRECTLY using this # 407-560-6704

Make sure that when you make your ressie for room even that you mention it is a b-day, you might find an card waiting. Tell EVERY restaurant when you check in and she might get a large cupcake for her dessert!

LOTS to do!! Just don't feel that it is like you are begging, there are lots of folks who go and have fun for their B-Days! :bday: :cake:
