Hello everyone!! I just want to ask if it is safe to send your teen age girls to a trip to Disneyland with friends? My niece and her friends are planning to go to Disneyland as a gift of my sister for having her an excellent awards in school. My sister and her hubby are busy in their business. I am worried about my niece to go on travel without adult who could supervise them although they will hire for a tour guide. Please help.... thank you.. :hippie:

well for our school trip this year we went to nashville, and yes we had chaps, but there was a good portion of the trip where we where on our own on the streets of nashville. i don't know what age they are, but i was a freshmen. now anything could happen anywhere, but disney is a safer enviorment then a pubic city street or mall because of all the cast members. it all depends on how comfortable you feel with letting them roaming alone.

I've been on field trips to places where the adults have let us go off on our own for a while and it's worked out well. And like said before, Disney is such a safe place and has so many cast members looking out for the guests and who would be more than happy to assist your niece and her friends. Of course, it does matter how old she is and how you feel, but as long as those two things aren't a problem it seems to me that they should be alright.

I'm not sure what you are talking about: Are you talking about if it is safe to go to DLR on their own, or if its safe to just be in the resort on their own?

I just went to DLR in May. The area surrounding DLR in the daytime seemed pretty nice, but I wouldn't go there alone.

Now, if they are in DLR itself while the adult is in the park itself, then everything should be fine depending on the age/maturity factor. I was on my own for a couple hours, and I felt extremely safe (I am 18). I had a cell-phone and a meeting-time with my group (6 people, we all split up) and everything was good. If I didn't have a cell-phone I'd stay with someone who did have one for sure. I'd make sure that they have a way of contacting the adult in the party.

Disney is the safest place I know - I can't think of a place I feel safer!
I wouldn't let them stay off property on their own though; a resort is much better and they can use the free transport to get where they want..

I think this depends on the age.

Disney is a very safe place, with many helpful cast members. Be sure she has a cellphone with her at all times (or someone who has one).

However, if she is staying the night off property (again, depending on her age) I would be a little more cautious.

I'm not shure if I would do it. but that's only my opinion...I'd feel safer knowing they are being supervised..But make shure you keep in contact with them...:thumbsup2!!!!
