Technical question for the drivers out there...

OK, so this is kind of a weird question, but I figure if anyone would know it would be my fellow Disers...

We stay offsite and drive to the parks. Past trips we've always stuck to the main roads and take I-4 into the parks and follow the signs. But as I am looking at a roadmap of the entire resort, it looks like you can take 535 to Vista Blvd to get to MK. This route looks interesting, since we're staying right on Palm Pkwy.

Anyway, my question is really this: on the map, it looks like Vista Blvd intersects with World Drive AFTER the MK toll plaza. So if that's the case, where do we pay for parking???

It does intersect but at that point you have to go around the MK parking lot, make a left on to Seven Seas Dr. past the Poly and then another left on to Floridian Way and after the Gas Station and then you can make a left and head into the MK parking lot,

I believe at that intersection you can only turn right. To get to parking you would turn right on N World Drive then turn left on Seven Seas Dr ( Takes you by Poly) then turn left on Floridian Way which merges into the departing traffic of MK parking. Once you past the parking entrance toll you can make a u Turn back to the toll and then parking.

I use 535 every day to get to work, but I come from the opposite direction. I turn onto Vista Blvd, then onto Bonnet Creek Drive (I think that's what it's called anyway, I drive by POR and POFQ).

When I'm going to Epcot or MK, there's an on-ramp I take that goes more or less directly to either place - veering right for Epcot and left for MK. I'm horrible at giving directions, though, so take me with a shaker of salt. :duck:(edit - got my right/left reversed, I told you I was bad at directions)

yulilin3 has a working set of directions in which you will bypass the toll booth but dfb is correct that you should pass the left turn before the toll booth and make the u-turn after the toll booths to come back and pay for your parking.

It's your morals and conscience if you choose to not pay for parking.

Don't worry, I have no interest in not paying for parking. We'd be hopping to a different park later anyway.
