I had gotten a new cell phone last monday, charged and activated, life was good. The keypad on it died, so I called and they sent a replacement. Got the replacement and just finished charging it. Can I simply just swap out the sim cards and my new phone will be active? Or do I need to do the activation process too? I had only gotten 1 number into my new phone and taken 1 picture, so that loss isn't huge. But if I can simply just swap the sims, that would be the easiest.

(my old phone was REALLY old and didn't have a sim card, so I didn't have this question when I got my first new phone)

Yes you should be able to do just that.

Then test it to amke sure veryting transfered with the Sims cal the phone from another number as a test.

Now if they already activated the new Sims then no you can't as the old one would not be activated anymore.

Try it it can't hurt anything by doing it.

Thanks!

The old sim is still active, it's in the old phone and I just tried it and it rang. So I will swap them out.

Thanks!!
