Hi all,

I have a question about the tech shirt they give you when you pick up your stuff. How do they fit? I'm signed up for the DL 1/2, and am unsure about the shirt sizing. I wouldn't want to get one too big or too small. If anyone can give me an idea of how they fit, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

That is a great question. I've gotten 2 race shirts, one was too big and one was way too small for my short fat self.

Well, I'm a woman's size 12 and ordered a medium. It fit fine for me.

I have started ordering tech shirts in a med, I normally would wear a cotton t-shirt in a large, which is a little big, but med is usually too small. I have not done enough races to know if this is a good strategy or not.

Hello :)

Champion is the brand that Disney uses for their tech shirts. Unfortunately it seems that there are inconsistencies from year to year with their shirts. The shirts we got in '08 were cut a bit larger than the shirts we received on '07. I would use your best judgement and then check with staff on site if you get something that turns out to be the wrong size. They say you cannot switch once you've registered, but I've heard reports from others saying they've done just that.

hope this helps!

THANK YOU for all the responses! I've e-mailed the disney people because my birthdate was wrong on the registration. They said it is difficult to switch sizes when you pick up your packet b/c you have to wait until the end of the expo to see if they have extra sizes. Judging by the responses, I will switch my shirt to a small.

Thanks so much again!!! :thumbsup2 Happy training, everyone!

I switched mine at the Expo with no problems (I switched the full and half shirt, but kept my huge Goofy shirt). I wear probably an 8-10 top and was happy in the unisex Medium, although looking back on it, Small might have been better.

I have found in general the unisex shirts run big, but the fitted women's shirts run small. So, I got a large regular t-shirt at ToT and it was big, and a large tech women's shirt that takes some courage to wear. But really, I was at the Expo on Friday night before the races (and people could still check in Sat for the full) and had no problems switching. My advice is to go for a combination of friendly and pathetic if you have to switch. ;)

btw, are the tech tees they give you unisex?

I'm going to say they will be unisex. Looking back on it, the full/half were unisex; the Minnie was women's sizing but they stated it clearly; and the ToT shirt was cotton and unisex- I bought my tech one. I think my sizing issues were more from the shirts you could buy at the Expo- nothing like walking out with a big unisex Medium and a tight women's XL!

I e-mailed the disney people and had them change my size to small...got a response that they did! :thumbsup2 So, if you have to change anything on your registration, don't hesitate to e-mail them! They will get back to you! :thumbsup2

so what do we get for the 5K Minnie - a Women's tech tee or what?
