thanks, I am just hoping I get out of school. It shouldn't be anything bad, it probably is just going to fizzle out.
Hopefully. It's not that strong of a storm, right? Last I heard, which a like early yesterday, it was still a tropical storm. So it can't be tooooo bad.

Im going to florida on Saturday
Lucky!! I wish I was going to Florida on saturday!

Yeah still tropical storm now. Most of the wind is only 20-30 mph. On the east side its up to 60 mph. So who knows whats going to happen.

It should be LONG gone by then, up in NC or something. Don't worry :]

That's kinda scary. I've never been in a hurricane before, but I imagine it's pretty scary!
My brother was living down in Florida when it was like one hurricane after another in Florida a couple years ago. He had fish laying in the parking lot of his apartment complex from a big lake that was like miles away. lol

haha I remember all those. The first one was headed straight for our house, and it was first major hurricane to come around in a while, so we packed up and went to orlando. It ended up going there and destroying my uncles neighborhood. I spent all night in a bathroom. Not fun.

After that, we don't evacuate anymore. Our house is strong enough for up to Cat 3 storms, but no hurricane has every come her directly so we are good. The only thing to worry about the hurricane, are the tornados. They are what cause the damage.

Yeah, that's what I'm most scared of. I can handle the wind, rain, etc. But not the tornados!

yeah, and when you add on the constant wind and rain of the hurricane already there, its not fun. But if there happens to be no tornado, hurricanes are like I said boring.

I kinda wanna be there for a non-tornado-producing one. lol
Just to say I lived through a hurricane. :teeth:

Guys.
I'm watching Higglytown heroes!
It's what is on, and I'm too lazy to go find the remote.

XD

haha.. i find it really, intresting how you guys talk about hurricanes as if they're no problem at all.!!

When you live here, and you see what happens with them it really isn't. Florida is like made for hurricanes. When it floods, the water recedes quickly back into the gulf/atlantic, withen a week. The trees that are knocked down are usually dieing anyway and need to go. My uncles neighborhood was hit bad, and when we came back a couple months after the storm, it looked like nothing had happened.

The only scary ones are Cat 3-5. They can cause a lot of damage.
