Morning, all...
I'm hoping I'm on my way to healthy. I haven't had a fever since Saturday night. I'm wondering how long the queasy tummy will last. The coughing is better, but not completely gone. I'm on my way, I think.

This afternoon we have to go get spacers and rubberbands for Baylie. She has to keep them on for a week and it's supposed to be very painful. I hate when she has pain.

I still haven't figured out the 1TS thing for our anniversary dinner. I can't focus on it right now, I guess. I could move Ohana back to that night and be done, so I may do that. No special, but food.

D is home, now, for a whole week. Sigh. So I will be missing a lot this week.

But, tomorrow is our 8th anniversary, so we are going out tonight. The boys had school today, but don't tomorrow, so the sitter is also free.

Here's a couple of more, just because.

We went off to the mall so D could get a haircut and I got him one of the Gorilla pods as an anniversary present.

I went to the eye doctor this morning, and no change to my reading prescription, nor any reason to worry about distance at this point.

Then on the way home, I got pulled over. Oops. I got a warning, though, not a ticket.

And this is a good problem to have, but I bought new jeans Saturday night. I really took my time, since I didn't have the kids, and tried on a bunch of styles and in two different sizes. I bit the bullet and went up a size, because I've been feeling very "muffin top-y" lately - I've gained some weight and am not thrilled. So that's all well and good, but I put them on today and they seemed big. Hmmm. So I did happen to step up on the scale, and somehow I've managed to drop about 5 pounds in the last couple of days. I know Sat. was the end of Aunt Flo's visit, so there could have been some bloating there, but still...

And of course I took the tags off and such, since I'd tried them on Sat.

I'll keep them for "fat days" I guess, but I'm confuzzled. But they are definitely falling down.

We are trying to decide where to go out for dinner. We're bad at this.

sucks that you're out the money, but hey 5 lbs!!! you go girl!!

However, I feel that unless they address the two HUGELY glaring errors at Pop (IMHO- The SERIOUS lack of anywhere to eat besides the dang food court and the lack of any personal touch, by way of customer service at all, I see failure ahead) It would be wonderful in theory if they could find a way to make an AFFORDABLE family suite type resort. I don't know. I haven't stayed at ASM/ASMU but I think that Pop's lack of being filled to capacity has more to do with the HUGENESS of it, and not it's lack of visual appeal. People aren't booking the Pop because it's pretty.....

Well with the "Food Court" and Value's You get what you get. ASMu did not seem any better when we stayed there in Late July.

The "ALL STARS" is Big.. but each section is smaller.
I have never felt POP was THAT HUGE. But then again we have always stayed there.. ( except the do over in Late July) so I have nothing else to compare it to. I walked from All Star Movies to My ASMu because the Buses were not coming for ASMu at Mk. THAT WALK WAS BAD.
POP's Buses do come at least.. but MK needs more.

Not sure what more the Value's could do. They are "Cheaper" for a Reason.
Why else would you have to catch a bus from MK practically at the Contemporary. I hate that walk.

More Family suites would be good.. We are still trying to decide between having the kids in THEIR OWN BED.. at ASMu Suites.. or Bunking with them again In a Regular Value Room or a Moderate.
Still cheaper than an AKL Bunk Bed.

Our Customer Service has been good at POP but maybe we just got lucky. Our mattresses have always been good.. our ASMu room one Mattress was SOFT.. WAY SOFT.

I think that other than Deluxe and DVC they all have issues.. Heck GF makes you park 3 miles away.. THAT is not right

But we love Disney. so we keep going back...

Update on my extreme swelling- It is all gone!! I pee'd no less than probably 25 times, but it is GONE!!

I have to go in for a battery of tests. They need to make sure it isn't kidney or heart failure. Their first guess is that it is Edema I will keep you posted.


I know someone asked if I scrapbooked WDW this weekend and the answers is NO! This was my first time NOT scraping WDW in a long time. It actually felt nice to work on my DS's album.

Sad news the young consumer passed away today !! She was only 37!! Prayers for her family please !!

So, DH texted me at about 3:00pm to tell me that a guy he used to work with died this weekend and the funeral was tonight at 6pm. I never met the guy but he was only 36 years old. I guess he found some kind of growth or tumor on his neck and had surgery to remove it. Then, a few days later, he died. Very strange. But, DH ended up going to the funeral directly from work. He's on his way home now. I don't know if he had a wife or kids or anything, but it really makes you think, doesn't it?

Hi Mel!! (Yani says hi back by the way...) Too bad about Japan, but definately next time. Hope SD gets better.

Ok finally got to read the POP article (the link wasn't working ). I agree with Mel on that they should try to make some sort of affordable family suite thing. Like I've heard many on the DIS complain that not every family is a family of 4. I stayed at ASMU's family suites and it was fabulous, almost equal to a DVC studio or 1 Bedroom, minus the deluxe hotel amenities of course. The down side of the family suites 1) they're excluded from all types of discounts and 2) they're pretty pricey.

As for the food court, I think most of the values only have 1 place to eat. Although it would be cute if they put some sort of Diner or something on site as an extra dining place.

As for customer service, honestly I know Disney has a reputation of being high in the ranks of cust. service, but they really don't pay their employees all that much. Yes the perks are great, but I really feel for their employees having to live up to such a high demand of excellence that not only Disney demands of them, but so does the public.

I've worked and sort of still do in customer service and people are VERY demanding when they KNOW or EXPECT to be treated in a certain manner. It's very draining. Once you give people an inch of courtesy they want a mile and sometimes due to rule constraints, unless you have authority there's only so much you can do. So sadly I've gotten to the point of not expecting much from that side. When it does happen though it truly does make my stay a little more magical.

Mel - The Samoas are my favorite too! YUMMY!!!! It's strange though because I really don't like coconut in anything else.

So, DD4 fell asleep while I was dissing this afternoon and now she's up. Can't fall asleep. I hate it when she does this, but she really needed the nap. She's fighting off a cold right now. So, DH is watching Air Bud with her. Hopefully she doesn't last long.

I"m finally home from the doc/pharmacy.

Jon has sinusitus and bronchitis. No fever and no pneumonia...so she allowed us to stay home instead of inpatient this time. Thank goodness.

X-rays and nebs galore while we were at the docs.

He has to go back in 2 weeks for a CT of his head and chest...looking for sinus abnormalities and scar tissue due to his asthma in his lungs.

He also started vomiting and the other end today. The congestion is so bad it's making his tummy upset.

He's exhausted and cranky.

So, he's on 10 days of zithromax, prednisone, double his other meds, and nebs every 2 hours.

Can you say tired momma???
