Want my Fuzzy Vote?! :rotfl:

Of course..but let me tell you my WDW plan...

7 nights at CBR and then 6 nights at AKL Savanna View (Because jimmy Would love to see the animals).

All subject to change if I can talk mom and dad into DVC;)

Not yet today, but she posted last night on FB that he made it through surgery just fine. Yay Waldo! :cheer2:

Wahoo! Thanks, I didn't really check fb last night

Good Morning everyone! :goodvibes:

In case you missed FB (janet ;)) Waldo made it through his surgery with flying colors. I'm so glad it's over and he can come home today (hopefully!) and get some rest.

After his surgery and recovery time, my mom and I went back to his room to see him and we walked in to find him lying in bed with a HUGE grin on his face. My mom turned to me and said "Oh look, he's happy.." and I told her "Yeah, that's because of the morphine drip!" :lmao: SHe cracked me up.

I've got to go, but just wanted to say Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust! I love my Fockers! :lovestruc

BBL!:grouphug:

Hi all. Just popping in to let everyone know that I am ok...just in case anyone was wondering.

BUT, I did just hear that there is a confirmed case of swine flu from a tourist who visited Disney World. Not good news.

I had fallen asleep on the couch with Fox news on and this awoke me from a dream.

Hola Fockers. I read but am kinda tired so now quoting for me.

Sleep and I are slowly but surely being reacquainted. I have been laying in bed since KC left for Jury Duty watching the episodes of The Tudors that I missed. I'm about half hour I'll be all caught up.:thumbsup2

Nothing really going on today, maybe if KC gets out early enough, before he has to start work, we'll go for another walk. It's been nice spending time with him like that, even if it is to stay out of the house and distracted. I'm also trying to find a cheap upright exercise bike, so i have a means to blow off steam and maybe even come pounds.

Anywho, I haven't had coffee or breakfast yet so I need to fix that! :surfweb:

Have a great day everyone!

I will have to check it out online!

You too Kat~!

My mom is. Both mom and dad are going to give up their jobs at the end of the year. My dad is going to be 80 in November, I think he deserves to rest ::yes::

80 and still going strong! That's good to hear and good they are taking "a rest."

:lmao: I can totally picture this! So glad he's doing well. Are you and TE ready to play nurse? Hang in there!

We were!

Gah. I have to say, I was annoyed by all the news-panic the last few days, but when I expressed that annoyance to my mom, the nurse who thinks no illness deserves panic, she's very concerned about this one. Apparently, the issue is that unlike regular flu strains that generally only wreak havoc those with weakened immune systems and/or the elderly/young, this one is hitting healthy people HARD. Leo and I are prime subjects for bad responses thanks to asthma, so I'm a little worried.

Especially because my throat hurts, my glands ache and I'm running a fever. But it's a low fever, so probably just sinus stuff. :worried:

V,

could the smoke from the So FL fires be drifting up towards you and causing the sore throat? We had air quality warnings over the weekend because of the Myrtle Beach fire and we are a good 4 hours away. Last Friday looked like a pea soup day; like the August haze.

Thanks for sharing Gramma'a input, V. I am amazed at how quickly it's spreading. And wondering if this trip to Ohio is going to happen after all. :confused3

Yes, and that's exactly my thought. There haven't been any reports, and you can't smell or see anything, but it's very possible. Plus, I believe there've been some smaller wildfires in central FL, so that wouldn't be helping. Add in the Jacaranda's being in full bloom and I'm a respiratory disaster, lol!

Here's a Slantinel (love that Janet!) piece - may or may not be swine flu... http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/orl-bk-swine-flu-central-florida-042809,0,4733584.story

Feel better:hug:

Great. We have a woman in the hospital here that was on a plane landing (from Mexico) that they took right to the hospital becasue she was exhibiting "flu like symptoms":sad2:

We've had serious stuff going on around here with it too. The town south of us (where K's San Antonio shop is) closed all the schools in the entire district for a week. They also closed the public parks and asked that families who might have been exposed to stay out of work or public places. Last night they announced a school here in our little town is closed too. :guilty:

I normally wouldn't think it a big deal, but it's extra scary to me because of the asthma thing too, V. We ended up staying home from dance last night because several moms there don't bother to keep their kids home when they are sick. We can't afford to get sick right before we move. :sad2:

It's worrisome, that's for sure. :scared:

Well apparently Waldo and the morphine drip got a bit too aquainted last night and he hasn't been able to hold anything down, so they won't release him for home. :sad2:

Secretly I'm a bit glad about that.... it's one thing to clean up your kids vomit... it's a whole new ball game to have to clean up your parents. Ewwww!!!

Anyway... the whole swine flu is crazy! On one hand, I think the media is blowing it way out of proportion as usual. They're always trying to keep the brown man down. ;) Apparently all the people who have it are reacting positively to treatment, so I think it will pass. I think the CDC is on the right track though. People need to practice good hygiene and be proactive about doing the right thing - staying out of public places if they are sick, actively wash hands, keep those with high risk home, etc. JMHO. :teeth:

Gotta hit the shower - just got back from the gym and I'm gross. :)

This drives me crazy. I keep Jimmy home when he is sick, please keep your kid home when they are sick:headache:

Sorry Waldo isn't being released, but it gives you a bit of a break before he comes home:hug:
