:rotfl2: I'm glad your Mom thinks I'm cute, can't even think what I would have called it, drinking fountain :confused3
it was a drinking fountain. do you call a drinking fountain a water fountain? i don't know, maybe she has it saved somewhere in her email. i'll ask.

The girls bus didn't come and they have exams !!:eek:Her I am still in PJs and no gas in the car :scared1:I was not a Happy Camper !! But we made it with about 30 secs to spare:rolleyes1 Does anyone else have the same phobia about going out in PJS !!The girls think I'm NUTS:rotfl: Jo i it an English thing:confused3
:rotfl2: glad they made it okay

Ellie's sports day was today and it was lovely, she did really well, in the morning it is team races such as egg and spoon, sack race etc and then we all have a big picnic followed by sprints and relays. Also as Ellie is in the highest year they do a leaving race, they dressed as the cast of Grease and did a dance which was cute. :
that sounds like so much fun. our schools never do anything like that.

How cute! Did you take pics? ;)

Good to know about the ADRs. Has anyone here used the system? How's it going- anyone know? popcorn::
i used it to book all of my adr's . it worked just fine. my mil was calling at the same time. but by the time she got through, i already had 5 adr's booked and only needed 2 more. :rotfl2:

Don't you have a mom from NH? People from NH call those "bubblers" which confused the heck out of me. Maybe Rachel's mom was thinking of her.

maybe that was it! i'll have to ask her if bubblers rings a bell. it really could be that she got them mixed up. that would be normal for my mil! it's like the game telephone where you whisper something to the person beside you and on and on till the end of the circle. well, my mil is the one in the circle that butchers the story till it's unrecognizable!! :rotfl2:

Oh any early risers out there may be interested to know that online ADR's start at 6am EST!!!!

Ooh, that is good to know, I am an early riser (not by choice-the rest of the family gets up crazy early and wakes me up-usually sends the cat in to torture me).

Lactose issues can creep up at any time.

If you've had a gastrointestinal illness, it can take months for your ability to break down lactose to return.

Don't you have a mom from NH? People from NH call those "bubblers" which confused the heck out of me. Maybe Rachel's mom was thinking of her.

I grew up in New England, we all call them bubblers :rotfl:. My kids, who are GRITS (girls raised in the south), call them bubblers because I do and occasionally get weird looks from their southern friends.

and i completely agree with you on the john and kate thing. if things are that bad, get divorced AND quit the show!
those poor kids.

DH and I love watching The Soup on E!, and Joel McHale's been talking about J&K+8 for at least a year now. He focuses on how desperately unhappy Jon looks and what a shrew Kate is. So, what we know about the show we've seen from that perspective.

I had an interesting morning at the pool; besides staying out there from 10:30-12:30 (love that 60 spf, may as well bathe in it), my two daughters met two others girls, one they've known for a while and one that is new to move into the neighborhood. Well, new girl and old girl don't like each other and are putting my girls in between. Old girl feels like she should have seniority with my 2 dd's but new girl got to the pool first and was playing with them first and doesn't want to share.

My older DD ends up being this weird messenger where Old girl would say something about new girl and my DD would trot over to New girl and say "old girl said this about you." Once I figured out what was going on I nipped it in the bud. I told older DD "If those two have something to say to each other, they need to talk it out between themselves. It's not your job to be the go between so they can say ugly things to each other." Older DD understood; she actually thought she was being some sort of facilitator by trying to get the two of them to talk to each other. Um, yeah, no. (she's 10).

Then my dd's were sitting at the table eating lunch, and old girl comes over and my older DD says "let me check with new girl and see if it's ok" and I said "I am in charge here and I say it's ok, and if the four of you can't get along we're not coming back to the pool until you four learn to behave better."

They seemed to come to a detente after that one, I mean, jeez, drama much? My older DD needs to learn to stop participating in that stuff, I sat down with her at one point later and said that I didn't want her playing the messenger role with other kids, that it will do nothing but get her in trouble and she'll be accused of spreading gossip.

I also told her that our family doesn't roll with the whole 'maybe I'll let you play with us'. We include people who can play nicely. Always. Period. She hasn't hit puberty yet so I hope some of it sank in.

Girls. Is there a "drama much" icon???

Just wanted to let you all know the Mammo and sono were normal !! I just got a preprinted letter saying that but that a physical exam a lump was felt and to follow up with doctor !!The radiologist agreed it was scar tissue from my incision!!So now I just have to see the surgeon for the final word !!I am pretty confident he will concur !!

Good news Rosie!

good luck!:teacher:

I used to LOVE math in school. I was even the only girl in the math club.:scared:

Thanks :goodvibes

Lori: Good job on your homework, and yes, I watched John and Kate. What a mess. I feel so bad for those kids.

::yes::

Well, the kids are on the bus for the last half day of school. D is pretty much down and out - fever, stuffiness, aches... Poor guy.

:yay: to the last dya of school. Hope D starts feeling better soon.

 Leo goes to his dad's next week for 2 weeks. :sad1:

Thanks V. And  right back to ya.

Morning! I really did need my rest day yesterday; I was exhausted by bed time! I'm still pretty tired and my allergies are bad. Couple that with a temp. of freaking 88 at 5am... no wonder I'm feeling icky!

 Hope it cools down for you guys soon.

I was invited to go to the movies tonight, so I'm thinking about that. I may go have sushi and read first, then meet the ladies. Now that it's just the boys home, I would most likely just sit on the couch while they do boy things. Might as well have some fun! :cutie:

I've got my eye on some curriculum on eBay, so I'm just putzing around for the next 45 minutes. I'm the only bid so far.

Girls night out sounds fun! Good Luck with the books on E-bay.

I didn't get to watch it. So that was the announcement? They are getting divorced?

::yes::

Anyway it's been a carpy morning. This morning I pulled in to the parking garage that I always park in. I don'tknow if I cut the wheel wrong or what but my whole passenger side scraped up against the brink wall:headache: Can't open the passenger slider at all. I am so stinking ticked off at myself I can't stand it. I filed a claim with the insurance compnay and I have an appointment with the Insurance approved body place at 5pm.

Oh NO! I hadn't watched Jon & Kate yet... darn Twilight book. :headache:;)

Sorry. :guilty:

Jen said:
Someone broke into DH car last night. He was downtown having a drink with college friends and came out to a smashed in passenger window.

Oh no! Did they take anything?

I've never watched it, but can't help but know all about them. What ticks me off is that they were going around a couple of weeks ago saying, "We're not celebrities, I don't know why everyone is so interested."

Well, it's because YOU chose to put your family on TV. You make the choice, you deal with the consequences. :sad2:

::yes:: Exactly!

Oh any early risers out there may be interested to know that online ADR's start at 6am EST!!!!

I didn't even know they were doing dining online. I just went and checked it out and it looks pretty cool. Good to know for future use. :thumbsup2 Can you book all TS restaurants online though?

Well, the kids have been home for a half hour and Woody's already had two crying meltdowns. Why did I want summer? :rotfl:

Honestly, I think he gets very conflicted about change, and I'm sure it's just a manifestation of that kind of worried feeling, but still - it's not fun to deal with. :sad2:

 Lindsey is the same way when it comes to change. DR is my go with the flow kid. Lindsey...not so much. Glad you like their room assignments for next year though.

********************************************************

Not much planned for me today. I have to finish up on my math homework and will probably take the dog for a walk later on. I do need to run to the store to pick up some more dry dog food though. They are almost out and they are little piggies so I need to stock up.

That's about it. Hope y'all are enjoying your Tuesday!

How cute! Did you take pics? ;)
Yep, they're on David's camera which he has at work!

Good to know about the ADRs. Has anyone here used the system? How's it going- anyone know? popcorn::
Not from personal experience but I've heard it's good but slow, UK ressie numbers don't work on it though :sad2:

Don't you have a mom from NH? People from NH call those "bubblers" which confused the heck out of me. Maybe Rachel's mom was thinking of her.
Errr if you say so, to me they're all just American ;) :rotfl2:

Well, the kids have been home for a half hour and Woody's already had two crying meltdowns. Why did I want summer? :rotfl:
 And pleased you're happy with their next years teachers!

it was a drinking fountain. do you call a drinking fountain a water fountain? i don't know, maybe she has it saved somewhere in her email. i'll ask.
We do call it a water fountain or maybe it was someone else :rotfl2:

that sounds like so much fun. our schools never do anything like that.
You don't have sports day? Wow you guys seem to have so much I'm amazed you don't have that!

Ooh, that is good to know, I am an early riser (not by choice-the rest of the family gets up crazy early and wakes me up-usually sends the cat in to torture me).
I haven't tried it but that's what my contacts said :thumbsup2

I also told her that our family doesn't roll with the whole 'maybe I'll let you play with us'. We include people who can play nicely. Always. Period. She hasn't hit puberty yet so I hope some of it sank in.
Girls :headache: I hope it sunk in!

I didn't even know they were doing dining online. I just went and checked it out and it looks pretty cool. Good to know for future use. :thumbsup2 Can you book all TS restaurants online though?
I think so :thumbsup2

Have I told you about our raspberries? Last year we planted a few canes and were amazed we got some fruit. Well this year we've had tons, for the last about 2 weeks we've had about a dozen raspberries a day, it's ridiculous (in a good way) how many we're getting, I could start selling them soon :rotfl2:

Oh we also have another mouse in the garage  David has set traps everyday for the last week and the sneeky thing somehow manages to eat the food off the trap without setting it off  so I've put chocolate spread on it and stuck the food down in the hope that'll work :rotfl2:

The girls bus didn't come and they have exams !!:eek:Her I am still in PJs and no gas in the car :scared1:I was not a Happy Camper !! Well, Rosie, one time I drove the kids to school in my jammies (in the snow) and then realized that I had locked myself out of the house and the garage was iced shut. :confused3 I had to drive to Bob's office and have him come outside to give me his keys. LOL

Don't you have a mom from NH? People from NH call those "bubblers" which confused the heck out of me. Maybe Rachel's mom was thinking of her.
We call them bubblers too! *central mass people*

You don't have sports day? Wow you guys seem to have so much I'm amazed you don't have that!

I think that would be our "field" day. Everyone goes outside and does fun little competetive games? For the whole day?

****************
Man, this day never ends! LOL
I got SD off to his class at 8:30 am. Took Gus to the Salvation Army to drop off 4 large bags of clothes, went to McD's for a quick bite to eat, then to the grocery store to return our cans and do some shopping. This is the market where I buy my meat/poultry/fish. It's a drive but it's the only one with good quality.
We then dropped off a coffee to Bob at his office, picked up SD, picked up Gus' friend and then came home to put away the food, finally!!! We are having mac-n-cheese (organic w/ soy) and burgers on the grill. Then I have to get SD to the park for his tennis lesson! Whew!

I am looking forward to tomorrow. They are predicting 92 degrees and we are going to the POOL!!!!

MEL:banana:

Good afternoon all!

Well KC offered to go to the laundromat and let me stay home!!! :woohoo:It means I have to fold when he gets home but I can live with that.

Just gonna sit back and watch some tv till he gets home and enjoy my last hour at this age lol.
:thumbsup2

As I mentioned above I did get into the math class.I already have homework for this class. .....
Then she goes on to tell me that her Grandma J came into town and that she likes her now. I can just imagine that comment went over real well. :sad2: :rotfl: Oh well...at least I don't have to deal with Wicked Witch of the West.

Anyone watch the Jon & Kate special and divorce announcement? Like we all didn't see that one coming. In a way a feel sorry for them all, but you know this is now going to play out as watch Kate do the single mom thing with the 8.
Homework, yuk! I don't watch J&K. Don't have too. Everyone and the news pretty much covers it.

:woohoo: I'm so glad Rosie!!!

Well, the kids are on the bus for the last half day of school. D is pretty much down and out - fever, stuffiness, aches... Poor guy.

I do not have tennis on Tuesdays anymore (for now, I'm trying to get into a fun class on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays for the summer.) The boys have their last session lesson this afternoon, though. I am supposed to be having my eyebrows waxed over there this morning, but I am thinking of postponing it until Thursday, since I wouldn't have to go twice today if I don't go for that.

I need to pick up my gift from school at some point. ;)

And really, that's about it. The kids have asked for a movie night tonight for the start of vacation, and I don't see why not.

So, I'll be in and out. Hope everyone gets off to a good start!
Sorry D is not feeling well. Summer colds are the worst. What was the gift?

Nothing too exciting going on here. The girls are going to a sleepover at my friend's house. I had her girls over two weeks ago, so it's her turn. I'm not sure what the boy and I will do this afternoon.

I was invited to go to the movies tonight, so I'm thinking about that. I may go have sushi and read first, then meet the ladies. Now that it's just the boys home, I would most likely just sit on the couch while they do boy things. Might as well have some fun!

I've got my eye on some curriculum on eBay, so I'm just putzing around for the next 45 minutes. I'm the only bid so far. :thumbsup2

I hope you did have fun!

I was coming back earlier and then work got in the way...the nerve

Anyway it's been a carpy morning. This morning I pulled in to the parking garage that I always park in. I don'tknow if I cut the wheel wrong or what but my whole passenger side scraped up against the brink wall:headache: Can't open the passenger slider at all. I am so stinking ticked off at myself I can't stand it. I filed a claim with the insurance compnay and I have an appointment with the Insurance approved body place at 5pm.

OK...enough being a poopy head from me
You are not a poopy head! Man, that sux.

I'm taking your advice and giving her a list of the places I like to eat... I'll let her figure it out from there. ;)

Someone broke into DH car last night. He was downtown having a drink with college friends and came out to a smashed in passenger window.

I finished Twilight, put my name on the library list for the rest of the books...but I know I am going to have to head to Target and get the next one.

Have a great day! We only having swimming lessons for ds today! We are relaxing. Well at least until tonight, when TINK has her first t-ball game (if it doesn't rain again).
Have fun. Good idea with that friend! I'm glad my DH bought me the Twilight set. Waiting for the next book would have been maddening.

Ugh. I'm feeling queasy again. It's on and off every few days. I don't know what the deal is. Mel thinks it's lactose issues, but I don't know... Is that something that can develop over time or soemthing you're born with?
My DVC contract was supposed to close yesterday, but I called and talked to my guide about a $16 per point discount that was on the webcast last weekend. It's $2 less pp than I was paying. He's supposed to send me back the updated paperwork so we can fix that and close.
See? Being on the computer saves me money! :lmao:

Cool catch on the DVC! I know someone who wasn't lactose intolerant until she got into her mid 50's. So yes to your question. I am sorry your not feeling good.

It was so hot though and lots of Mums got burnt, I had my F50 on

Oh any early risers out there may be interested to know that online ADR's start at 6am EST!!!!

That would have been fun to watch. Not the burning mums, the kids. Thanks for the info. on ADRs. I'll still check at midnight though.

Lactose issues can creep up at any time.

I think lactose intolerance can develop later - my cousin has it, and didn't use to.

Your a good mom. Hopefully all the girls will get through this phase with your help.

Have I told you about our raspberries? Last year we planted a few canes and were amazed we got some fruit. Well this year we've had tons, for the last about 2 weeks we've had about a dozen raspberries a day, it's ridiculous (in a good way) how many we're getting, I could start selling them soon.

Our raspberries won't be ready for another week or 2. The gooseberries are in abundance though. We use peanut butter on the traps. those little buggers can't resist and it is too sticky to just snatch away.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
We are doing the Mel dinner flip - breakfast for dinner. I have to get back upstairs and get cookin'!

I had my 'interim review' this week at work. Just call it mid term evaluation. We have to fill our what we call a 'Progress Management' report for the year. We have a little discussion to see how we are doing with the supervisor at this time of the year.

Remember that my supervisor is new and I don't much care for him. As for my 'PM'.............he loves me. :goodvibes What can I say? I just tell it like it is and I guess he likes that. :hippie: I still don't trust him but that was a load off my shoulders. At least I look good on paper and in his eyes. Geez it sounds like a romance novel instead of work. :rolleyes1

I probably won't be back tonight. I may try to mow while the temperature is a balmy 85 and the sun is low on the horizon. I absolutely must watch the NJ girls part 1 season reunion tonight at 9!!!!! :upsidedow

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY:dance3:
No my Bday is Oct. 23rd.

sounds like the fockers are having car trouble.

No you didn't!!!! :rotfl:

Oh yes i did!puckerup:

They didnt cancel the phone and to top it off, the billing for internet was for april-may while at the same time phone is from may-june on the same bill. they are pretty retarded sometimes. So now i have to wait a week for the credits to go through and most likely call and fight with them again.

I grew up in New England, we all call them bubblers :rotfl:. My kids, who are GRITS (girls raised in the south), call them bubblers because I do and occasionally get weird looks from their southern friends.

I grew up in the midwest and had never heard that. The first time someone asked me where the bubbler was, I had NO idea what they wanted. :rotfl:

She hasn't hit puberty yet so I hope some of it sank in.

Girls. Is there a "drama much" icon???

You are doing the right thing, and I'm sure she's taking it in.

:yay: to the last dya of school. Hope D starts feeling better soon.

Thanks. He's still pretty rotten. He's supposed to have a meeting at work tomorrow and fly Thursday. Yikes.

 Lindsey is the same way when it comes to change. DR is my go with the flow kid. Lindsey...not so much. Glad you like their room assignments for next year though.

Yup, Buzz could not care any less. Kids. ;)

Errr if you say so, to me they're all just American ;) :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I remember the first time you called, you said I didn't sound as American as you expected. I'll go with being honorary British, then.

Have I told you about our raspberries? Last year we planted a few canes and were amazed we got some fruit. BTW - Are you pregnant. I think we need a Focker baby:rolleyes1

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to call tongiht to confirm all of mine!:thumbsup2

Good to know about the ADRs. Has anyone here used the system? How's it going- anyone know?

I started to play around with it. It seems pretty easy to use. I think mo said she used it!

Well, the kids have been home for a half hour and Woody's already had two crying meltdowns. Why did I want summer?

I'm sorry:hug:

Honestly, I think he gets very conflicted about change, and I'm sure it's just a manifestation of that kind of worried feeling, but still - it's not fun to deal with.

Hi Lori:wave2:

Have I told you about our raspberries? Last year we planted a few canes and were amazed we got some fruit. Well this year we've had tons, for the last about 2 weeks we've had about a dozen raspberries a day, it's ridiculous (in a good way) how many we're getting, I could start selling them soon

I am looking forward to tomorrow. They are predicting 92 degrees and we are going to the POOL!!!!

====================

Well talked to the insurance company. Looks like it's not going to be a problem to get the van fixed and they will give me a cheap rental until it is done!:thumbsup2 Jim is going to take it in on Friday.

Other than that not much going on. Jim and Jimmy are going to go bike riding and I will probably go ourside and read while they do that. We are just watching the end of Leroy and Stitch and then we will go out.

Ok - I should have said earlier that DH's car was broken into last night and the window was smashed and the only things taken were a pain of sunglasses and his iphone charger. :confused3 They left everything else... including a checkbook. :worship:

TINK had her first t-ball game and she was HOT, HOT, HOT! It was still 88 and FULL sun. Us Minnesotan's can't handle that kind of heat. We are cold folks up here. :rolleyes1

Twilight fans: I am sure most of your know this already... but if by some chance not, you can read about 1/2 of "Midnight Sun: Edward's Version of Twilight" HERE

Holy cow, Slate! Be careful.

Hello everyone. We had a nice time at Disney. dh and ds were disappointed b/c they really wanted to meet the guy who played Jango Fett during Star Wars weekend. They got to the studios at 6:30 in the morning to get in line and were told that he wasn't coming because there was a death in the family. They were disappointed. On the other hand, they didn't really care about meeting Jay La Gaia, but did and were really glad they did. They said he was super nice.

There were some grumpy people at Disney. Too many things to list, but I have to tell you about this one lady. We saw her at the hotel yelling at a CM that her ride to the parks was not here yet. She was in a scooter thing. She rode by us at the studios and dh said, "There's that grumpy lady." The guy behind us said, "Oh I saw her yesterday yelling at a CM about her fast pass return time." We were laughing that someone else had seen her being grumpy, too. Then, when dh and ds were in line to meet Jay, the lady came up in her scooter and was yelling at the CMs that they needed to put her at the front of the line because she was thirsty and needed to get a coke. Then she was yelling at them and waving money in the air saying, "You need to go get me a coke. And I don't want one of those fountain drinks, either. You need to get me a bottle of coke." Dh and ds were the 3rd and 4th in line. Two girls in front of them told them that they saw her the day before yelling at some CMs. The CMs actually put her at the front of the line. She parked her scooter and walked up to Jay to do the meet and greet and then she had a hard time getting her scooter out of there and started yelling some more. They were having a hard time keeping a straight face. Jay ended up asking her if he could help. She got out and he got the scooter out of there for her. :lmao:

We spent about half of each day in the parks and stayed at the pool the rest of the day.

My laptop has been on the fritz, so I haven't been online so much. The screen keeps going in and out. I literally took the screen apart trying to see if I could fix it and could not. Then I figured that I could get the screen to stay up if I pushed the screen in on one corner. Problem with that is that I can not type and hold the screen in at the same time. Mr Diz came up with the idea to put a clamp on the screen there and it is working. LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well.
