We are super excited about Monday. Mr and Mrs T invited us over for a cookout. Tuesday we are going to Wilderness at the Smokies in Tn for 4 nights.

I got a bargain vase this morning at the supermarket it was reduced to 28p which is about 40 cents It's quite nice too!

Well, it's cool still which is good. I got the windows open to get some cool air in here. It's going up to 85 later, so that will be pretty warm! I am going to drop Gus at school and then come back and clean. Hopefully, I can get the majority of it done and then go to the gym for a while. That's the plan, anyway.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night. I've been exhausted lately (don't know why) but I definitely needed the rest. Feeling a bit more human now.

It's actually already 64 here now - we're heading to 91 today. Whoa. We had a frost warning Tuesday night, 91 today. Go figure.

So far, I feel good today.

I need to leave for fun tennis in a couple of minutes, but I had to share, because you guys will get it.

Dr. Belle, my BFF in Illinois, is a college prof. She has been on a multi-week journey around Asia with a group of students, both sightseeing and also visiting companies over there - they've been to Dell and Caterpillar and so forth. They've been to China, Seoul, Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, Saigon, and are just today (well, since it's now tomorrow there, it was... well, you figure it out) in Hong Kong.

Anyway, her FB status this morning is that she just returned from Disneyland Hong Kong! I'm so jealous!

If she sends me pictures later, I'll share some.

OK, off to tennis. D is going to the boat, since it's going to be 91. I'm picking the boys up from school and we're going to go meet him. The boys will only get a two hour ride or so - I'll pack a picnic dinner - but we think it's good to give them a chance to go before the crowded long weekend starts.

Here is a little update.

KAT is a Sims addict. She says it’s worse than crack.

DAWN is still at MIL’s. Things are behind schedule.

SHARKY is heading to Texas for the weekend.

DEB and the gang are going camping this weekend. Maybe.

CE can’t video chat. Has a dog that will do anything for a Dorito. She had a huge migrain. You sound better today.

JO says Ells make her own B-day cake. Jess thinks it’s the end of the world in a tent with no friends.

Z spent $225 at the Vet and found out nothing. A shot for parasites evidently worked though.

LORI says today is Lindsy’s last day of kindergarten.

V is hoping for good weather to show up for her trip. Oh and a good attitude for Gramms. Have an awesome time V. My fingers are crossed for the weather.

JANET is showing the boss how to do her job. She is getting her new washer/dryer on Saturday.

CEL BEL is going to a party and seeing some old friends.

MEL says they don’t know if the bunny is a girl or a boy. They’ll know when it goes in for the snip of whatever is there.

Rockie's mom is on the mend. She will probably never walk again. She is in good spirits despite what she is going through. I think the KI trip will be good for Rockie and the kids.

Doug's mom came through alright. She was very tired but talkative. Doug just left for an appt., then he is stopping in to see her. She should be out tomorrow at the latest.

I am doing the laundry from the beds and getting Rockies folder for WDW done. I slept from 1AM to 5:30 AM. I have to go to work tonight so I am going back to bed as soon as I am done typing. I will go see Doug's mom and pick up a frozen cake from Culver's before I get to work. It's a co-workers b-day this weekend too. I told her I'd get it for both of us.

I did manage to get our clothes for this weekend packed. Just the toiletries will be left. I'll am going to finish up laundry tomorrow. I've got to meet some friends for dinner at Pepe's tomorrow too. I'll try to pop back on here tomorrow evening. If I don't make it, have a great weekend everybody!

Happy birthday to my oldest today.

I wish we were celebrating at our new house, but we're going to try and make the best of it. The buyers are going to try and close today, but the lender said they didn't think they could get the docs there until tomorrow. Today they'll have to close or ask for an extension from us. I told my agent that I need them to close in the morning. The man is available, but the woman is working. So, I don't know what's going to happen.

hello everyone! too far behind for quotes. here's a few of these....


not much going on with me, just busy! i work 3 days through the week now, so we usually go out of town on the weekend. it's nice to have the time together. i just don't have the "down" time during the week that i used to.

i do have a funny story...............


we went to inlaws for the weekend for day out with thomas (train) which was a blast! well, friday night my 17yr niece is at the house and went to ride the 4 wheeler with her boyfriend. it was starting to get dark at this point. well, about an hour later, she calls me on my cell phone. they flipped the 4 wheeler (nobody was hurt), it's on it's side on a hill leaning against a tree. they can't get it upright and are on a path in the woods. it's dark and the only light they have is from her cell phone. and, they're lost! they got lost in the woods and were trying to turn around the 4 wheeler when it flipped.

so, i thought mike and i would take the other 4 wheeler and go find them. but, he thinks it would be better to take the car. (our honda pilot) so, mike, me , regan and the dog pile into the car and drive into the corn field by the woods. i'm hanging out the window with the spotlight while talking to my niece on the phone. well, get get stuck. mike tries to back up and we scrape something. the plastic piece inside the car on the driver side by the gas pedal pushes up and hits mike in the leg. then, the gear shifter was stuck! it would not move. so, we're sitting here in the field by the edge of the woods about 1/2 mile from the house stuck!! lol

my niece walks up to the car at this point. she followed the spot light! we can't get the car out, so mike takes my niece and boyfriend to go look for the 4 wheeler. of course he didn't bring a flashlight, so they are using the light on her cell phone. i'm sitting in the car with regan and the dog. i start getting a little freaked bc here i am in the car (which is going nowhere) with a field on one side and the woods on the other. i start replaying all the scary movies in my head!!! i called my aunt for someone to talk to!

about 30 minutes later , they come back without the 4 wheeler. aparently it's really stuck on it's side against a tree with a drop off on the other side of the tree. they are so lucky they didn't fall further or get hurt!

well, now mike has to walk back to his parent's house in the dark. we waiting another 30 minutes. ( i made my niece stay with me this time). they come back with my fil and the truck. we look under the car and a piece of the car is hanging out the bottom. something that should be inside the car! so, my fil pulls our car with a chain on his truck. the whole time we hear clunk, clunk, clunk. mike is cursing, saying that does not sound good, while i am just laughing! um, told you we should've taken the 4 wheeler!

so, we get back to the house. fil, mike and i take the truck back out into the field. we park right outside the woods. then, we walk with a flashlight to find the 4 wheeler. it was creepy. we find it, but then the chain he brought broke! they're trying to fix it when we hear someone driving something in the field. then, a guy starts yelling "who's there?". we walk out of the path and luckily it was a neighbor on a utility vehicle. he drove into the path and pulled the 4 wheeler out.

in the morning, we look under the car and the "thing" hanging under the car is the gear shift cable! so, we towed it to the garage and it's getting fixed. but, we had to drive mil's car home and use it all week. we're going back this weekend to get it. i have no idea how much it will cost! mike felt so bad, but i couldn't stop laughing about it. maybe it's bc it wasn't my idea to take the car.

he can't believe i'm not mad at him. but, i'll just use it to my advantage! guess who's getting an i phone!! then, i mentioned something else i needed to get. ( i don't even remember what it was) he's says" you can get whatever you want." wonder how long this will last?

so, hopefully we'll have the car back this weekend and it won't be too much. ( i'm thinking at least $1000 ) but, the way i look at it.... things happen, and this is just minor. way worse things could happen to us and it's really just a car. and, we'll have a funny story to tell!

Hi guys. I read, but didn't quote. I'm sorry; it's just been an awful 24 hours.

I know some of you have seen my angst on FB. Here's the story...

You know Gramma's barely spoken to me for days and I haven't a clue as to why, though I've asked repeatedly. She doesn't respond and is snippy the rest of the time. Last night she got home later than usual and Leo was already starting his shower/bed routine. Figuring she'd just got home and would like to change clothes/eat/unwind, I'd already gotten Leo into the shower and was watching TV while he finished getting ready for bed; next thing I knew, Gramma was in there, helping him do things he'd capable of and needs to do by himself. I pointed that out and she snapped "Just add it to the list of things I do wrong." and stormed off to her room.

Fine. So I got Leo to bed and I worked out, then went to say goodnight and she didn't respond. I asked if we needed to talk because she'd been so snippy with me and I didn't know why - she said she didn't want to talk about it then and started getting all sniffly and wiping away tears. I was frankly pissed at that point and said, "Well, I know that I've done nothing to warrant being treated like this. Can you at least tell me if this is about something you think I've done?" Again, no response, other than more sniffling, some turning away and "It'll have to wait."

There's a history here; I won't divulge all the gory details, but suffice it to say there's good reason for why I moved out at 16. I try hard to love her, but truthfully, I've never been close with my mother and always knew that her wants and needs came before mine, or if she put mine first I'd pay for it in some way. I joke a lot here, because what else can you do, right? In all honesty I've never been happier than when she had little involvement in my life.

Anyway, I left her a note this morning saying "If you don't want to tell me what your problem is, fine. But then stop the silent treatment, guilt tripping and being snippy. Enough already. I haven't done anything wrong and it's not fair to Leo or me to spend the vacation weekend like this."

It could be that she's mad about our latest conversation regarding the future - namely about her moving out of my house in a year or so. Not that this is new - we've discussed this many times over the years; her living with me was never intended to be permanent. But it's possible it's something else entirely. Either way, THIS is not the way to handle it and I've hit my limit. I very much doubt she'll be at WDW with us this weekend. Good for me - horribly disappointing for Leo.

There. I've vented all over the Internet and I feel a little better. LY guys!

Took my cat Orion to the vet for his follow up and so they can get a urine sample. All his results came back fine so thank goodness for that. The vet thinks the shot she gave him for parasites may be taking effect since she didn't find anything in his urine. So my little furbaby is home and resting.

Glad he's better.

She definitely looks as though she's grown!!!

I know...time has flown by! DR's last day of preschool is tomorrow. I know he's grown. LOL

Well it seems the tent situation isn't all bad, she's the leader in the tent, when I heard that I couldn't believe it The 2 girls she's with are lovely and she's in charge can't get much better than that I don't think!

I'm realizing I have to go to the store before packing a picnic dinner tonight. The kids are having a teddy bear picnic at school tomorrow, so they need a lunch, which is unusual - they both eat the cafeteria lunch nearly all the time.

Anyway, between making sandwiches for all of us for dinner and then for them tomorrow... Well, I can't. So, I have to go out and buy more turkey. I just had no intention of having to do that. I am sweaty and stinky, but I wasn't going to care, because I was just going on the boat to get sweaty again...

So, I guess I'd better go do that, so that I have more than enough time to pack everything up and such before I need to go get them. See you all later!

I don't know if I told you all this or not, but Jimmy's school is having a fair tomorrow. It should be fun they have games/prozes, food, stuff to buy, facepainting, sand art etc. I am working it but it will be interesting to be able to see Jimmy interact with with other kids. He is all excited becasue he has to come to school with me EARLY (7:30) to "help" me set up the table I am working. Everyone comes (parents, siblings, etc..even some neighborhood people who don't have kids in the school anymore. Needless to say i'm not working tomorrow. I will take pictures to show you all!

Hey peeps!

I'm exhausted. I did read about 4 pages, but I'm lost on a bunch of stuff that's going on. Sorry!

We had a FUNtabulous time with Mo this week. We spent a few hours with her on Sunday and then just about all day with her yesterday. Maddie and Evan love, love, love her. Mads cried herself to sleep last night, saying how she's going to miss Mo. We all felt very verklempt - we don't often get Focker visitors on this side, so this was a tough pill to swallow.

Today I went on a field trip with half of the first grade classes in Maddie's school. Blech! I don't like kids as much as I thought I did. Seriously, I'm grabbing a burger and beer for dinner tonight. I'm completely wiped out! I don't know how those teachers keep their sanity.
