Team building and your mood elevator

Anyone familiar with the Mood Elevator?
How about Remember the Ofs?

I'm a consultant on a project and I had to sit in on the team building exercise between the two companies that are working together.

Wow, its hard to believe that people get paid good money to shovel this stuff and companies eat it up.

I'm not familiar with either of those. Nothing against consultants -- if I had something to consult about I might consider doing it myself -- but I used to work for an organization that consisted of about 25 managers and the rest of the staff were unionized. Our upper management spent more money on "organizational development" consultants than you could imagine. None of it worked, sorry to say. I've since retired from that place , but I understand it's worse now than it ever was.

Hopefully other companies have had better success. I know there's good that can come from consultants, but not where I used to work.
