DS22months has a runny nose. He will grab a kleenex and wipe his own nose but I have been trying all morning to show him how to BLOW his nose and he just looks at me like I have lost my mind.

Any tips to show this snotty boy how to blow his nose?

Try getting a feather or even the end of a tissue and showing him how mommy can make it "move" with her nose. Then have him try it with the tissue. If he tries hard enough you should be good to go. Good luck!

I think this is a lesson best taught when they are healthy. We make a game out of it. I teach them to move the tissue with the air from their nose. It is a simple process first with both nostrils unblocked, then we block one then we switch to the other. I demonstrate for them then they try. My now 18 month old learned this way a few months ago. She too has a stuffy nose right now and she knows what to do.

Good luck

I am interested in this too. DD is 26 months and she tries but ends up blowing with her mouth LOL

Our DD20mths has been blowing her nose for a long time now.
We started by teaching her how to blow bubbles in the water with her mouth. And then blowing on our hands and then blowing in the tissue. Scrunch up your nose & blow into the palm of his hand & ask him to do same to you.
Most of all, make it fun & make it a game. But def something you should do when he is feeling better.
