Poll coming...

Wait for it!

There seems to be a lot of teachers on the dis and I wanted to see what the breakdown was. I'm predicting more elementary teachers.

(if you're a student, choose what level you're studying to teach... I chose middle school and high school)

I have my Elemetary Ed degree, so that is what I voted, even though I choose to stay home to raise my children right now.

I have my teaching license to teach grade school or high school English. I haven't taught in a very long time.

I've always worked in special ed. I'm certified for speech therapy, deaf ed, students with visual impairments and orientation and mobility(cane travel).

Taught first grade, but am a SAHM for now. Will most likely return to the classroom in a few years. :)

I also have a degree to teach reading K-12 but right now am teaching in elementary school.

I teach history for 6's and 9's at a 6-12, so I voted both middle and high school. I'm also qualified to teach pre-school, but I'm not doing that right now:)

Licensed to teach high school English and elementary- presently I am teaching Grade Seven- math, English, computers and science to students who are not ready for high school. Love my job!!!!!!!

I have my early childhood degree. I'm licensed to teach pre-k to 3 grade. I'm almost afraid to post to this poll with some of the anti-teacher posting that has been going on.

I was going to say the same thing! Sheesh!

BTW...I teach kindergarten.

I'm certified to teach K - 5, right now I teach Arts and Humanities to Elementary students.

I am certified K-8 and I currently teach third grade.

Proud to be a teacher and even more proud that my "non teacher" DH just listened to a huge vent of mine and totally agreed with me!

What about administrators? We're still teachers, aren't we? I have pre-K through 5th grade in my school.

Kindergarten Teacher here!

I am cetrified K-8, 9th grade English and Sp ed for cognitively impaired from birth - age 26. I also hold a ZA (ealy childhood K - 3) MI endorsement.

I have taught Severly Cognitively Impaired students and students that were mulitply impaired. I currently teach an "non traditional" kindergarten for students who were not quite "ready" for a traditional K setting. I have been teaching for 30 years and as you can see from one of my tags;

I am working a dream job!

I teach in England, I currently have year 6 which is your 5th grade. In our school system this is the oldest class in the primary school before they move on to high school. I am certified to teach year 1 - 6 and have so far taught year 3 - 6.
