As others have suggested I would imagine that a pre-booked holiday would be honoured. I guess every school etc will have their own rules and regulations but I know, here in the UK, every job I've ever applied for has honoured already arranged holidays.

This is so weird but I had the same thing happen two years ago. I applied for a job and had a four day vacation planneed. I just asked about it at the interview and they said they would work around it. I will be honest - they really wanted me to take the job, so that may have had something to do with it. (It was a difficult postion, with profoundly handicapped children) They ended up letting me take 3 personal days and 1 sick day. I would ask at your interview - Be honest and sincere and tell them why you are concerned about it. I have always found people to be very accommodating when approached in this manner! Let us know what happens!!
