Hey everyone!
This is kinda a weird post, but I kinda need some help. I have this teacher at my school who directs my school's chorus. Im in Chrous and obv., she's my teacher. Class is held at like 8:20 everymorning and ends at 9:11. I cant sing my full range that early and my teacher makes fun of me for it. I dont mean like teacher student teasing, but like full on being mean teasing. She once said that I didnt have a brain and for like half a year in 8th grade, she called me Queeny. (idk if thats how you spell it, but you get the point.) This really bothered me, because I was sexually harassed for about 4 years, with some of my class mates calling me homosexual. Im not, and it bothered me that someone would spread lies about me. When she called me Queeny, it was because some of my friends voted me Premadonna in class (as a joke), so she was refering to me being demanding. Here's the problem, I need to stay in the class because I love singing and I need the credit. But I dont want to feel dumb or worthless about myself just because I cant sing my best at 8:20 am! Even more, I dont know what to say to her, because she is originally from Poland and has been here for less than 10 years and Im not sure she knows that what she is saying bothers me. I dont want to tell her because she has come out and said that I was emotional already and I dont want to give her ammo. If there are any ways that any of you know to help me improve my voice so that she can't insult me about it, please tell me. Or if you know a way I can get her to stop teasing me, that would also be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

I think you should talk to your parent(s) and maybe they could send a e-mail. Maybe you could switch to a later class? If not maybe you could try practicing before class starts at home or on the way to school.

i had a little teacher problem today too. she was really nasty to me. i was thisclose to like yelling at her. but i have to respect them so i kept my cool lol.

talk to a guidnace counseler.

Talk to a parent. If the problem isnt fixed talk to a guidance teacher or if its that bad, a assistant or normal, principal

Tell her that her comments are bothering you. If she is still disrespectful, then you should probably tell a teacher. An old teacher of mine always teased us, and she said that if we ever got offended by a comment of her's, we should tell her. Sorry though, but I'm glad you're not giving up, because singing is fun!:goodvibes

thats just wrong.. go straight to your guidance counselor... if they dont do anything, go straight to the principal.. and if he doesnt do anything, bring in the parents

Go to a guidance counselor or if shes saying something rude to you just be like uh okay that's rude ? Or make a sarcastic comment that shows how you feel.

Talk to your head of year or guidance councellor.

It is really horrid when teachers are like that, some of mine used to be! TO be honest i did the wimps way of dealing with it and burst into tears. They then appologised and felt rather guilty. Although that doesnt work with every teacher!

Hope it gets fixed soon!
