I'm a teacher and I would just like to take this opportunity to say a few things.
First, I appreciate all that teachers do. I know what it's like and know what everyone goes through on a regular basis - both the good and the bad. I am grateful to all teachers out there or taking on the task of educating our youth. It's a challenge and you've all stepped up to the plate and accepted it.
Second, I'd like to say that I truly love watching those "lightbulb moments" when students put it all togther and get that a-ha! look in their eyes. I love every moment I spend w/my little ones. Their stories, their enthusiasm, their zest for learning, their happiness to be there. I love hearing them say they love school, love me, whatever. I am thrilled to be imparting knowledge and giving them the foundation for their lives. I am honored to be part of their lives, educating them and helping them to become better people. My only hope is that, one day when they're older, they'll remember me fondly and will recall doing fun things in my class ... and perhaps telling their Kdg. children about their Kdg. experiences!
Finally, I want to thank my former teachers. While I might have complained about many of you, I appreciate all that you did for me. Not only did you impart knowledge, you gave me what I needed to become who I am. You were kind, caring, compassionate, worked me like a dog and were tough when warranted.
Warmly,
Daxx's Wife
