My 9yo dd spends hours "teaching" her dolls.....LOL. She has a desk and loves to teach. Would you believe I actually hear her teaching for hours some days when we don't have anything to do??!! So for Christmas she has asked for teacher supplies to put on her desk. She wants note cards and printer paper that has apples on it. She just loves using my printer ink to make notes to send home to "her parents" :confused3 . I would love to make her up a whole supply box with "teacher' items. Where can I find these things that i can order online? I don't want to shop. I did look at Walmart and Walgreens and couldn't find anything. Besides designed printer paper and apple note cards what else could I put in?

Now if only this helps her in her goal to be a "doctor's teacher".......... :thumbsup2

You can probably get a lot of it on ebay! When I was little me, my sister and all our neighbors were "teachers". We took turns with who got to be the teach and who was the students; we ever wrote tests!

Don't forget things like a coffee mug that says "Miss ____" to make her feel extra special and a teacher supply name with her name on it. LillianVernon.com has cute bags you can personalize.

How cute. I think Lillian Vernon would be worth checking out.

You can also see if there are any education supply stores in your area. But these places can be VERY expensive. BUT--you can get some cool things that all the teachers get. :)

Everything from report cards, teacher notes, teacher planners/lesson books, bulletin board "stuff", reproduceable books, etc.

ETA: Does she have a chalkboard?? I remember teaching for fun. :teeth: I loved it when a math teacher let us kids take home old ditto papers she had..I took home reams of them. Enough for an entire summer of teaching math. :goodvibes

You have to def. get her one of the pens that is red on one end and black (or blue) on the other!

I tried to pull up www.holcombsknowplace.com but couldn't get it to come up. Do a search for holcombs or knowplace and maybe you'll have better luck!?

I know you said you dont want to "shop", but if you have Dollar Tree near you, I would go there. They usually have an entire are of teacher supplies- stickers, stamps, certificates, etc.- And being dollar tree its cheap!

My 8 year old loves to teach as well. She hasa 4 year old brother and he typically "gets" to be the student.

I second the Dollar store. I had to get envelopes last night so I stopped in at the Dollar store. There was a ton of stuff like you are looking for. I'm going to do something similar for my 5 year old so that's where I'm going.

staples seems to carry some supplies. you might also get a small bulletin board and either a roll of apple border or you could sponge paint apples around it. a small wipe board might be fun-you too.

All great ideas. Thanks bunches. I am writing them down and will try to stop at the stores mentioned if I am in the area. Should be able to hit them all by Christmas. Also great websites. I saw a few things I plan to order.

She already has 3 whiteboards and 2 bulletin boards as we used to homeschool. She puts up assignments daily....LOL.
