Teacher Gift - Staples GC???

I'm trying to think of something useful for DS10's teacher for a Holiday gift... what do you think of a Staples Gift Card??? and something personal like a Bath & Body Works lotion....

I think a Mall GC is a good idea. They way they are not limited to one store.

I think the Staples GC sounds like a great idea. But I would skip the lotion...you never know if there are allergy issues (I am highly allergic to many scents and there is only one Bath and Body Words fragrance I can tolerate). HTH

This year I bought those really nice stapplers at Office Depot. They staple up to 20 pages at a time and are eay to use. I have used too many school stapplers and they always jam! It takes regular stapples too! So that is nice!

I always give Barnes and Noble Gift Certificates...

They can get music/books etc.....

Pretty much any kind of gift certificate will make a teacher happy. It would be hard for you to go wrong with that!

I went to Starbucks and got a bunch of $5 gift cards. They even had these really nice red felt holders to go along with them. I'm giving these to our mail carrier and garbage men, also to the secretaries & crossing guard at my DD's school - no teacher presents this year, it isn't really "done" around here in Middle School.

I'm giving Office Depot GCs this year--considering how much the teachers have to do to keep the classrooms stocked out of their own pockets, it's the least I can do. I try to send things when I can, but with 3 kids in school, it adds up quick!

One homeroom parent has already started a collection for a GC, so that class is covered. Now I'm going to wait to hear from the other two to see if they're going to do anything like that. If they don't, I'll get them myself.

Definitely do the Staples GC! Teachers are forever dipping into their own pocket to buy things for the classroom. If you have a really good educational supply store - that would also make a great GC.

And Starbucks cards are terrific! I work for teachers, and very often receive these from them - gotta keep the copy room lady awake!
