I was second in line, so I got mine!:D
We saw the CM going into the store, so I asked what was short shipped. She peeked out later and said *Oogie, Boogie *this week's Pooh pin *Darkwing Duck.
I don't know how many they got, but I am guessing six. I didn't stick around to see when they ran out. The line was not quite as long this week. But still probably a dozen in line at store opening.
I sold one of my extra Figaros. Most of those who missed out last week bought them through other TDS and Ebay, where they paid too much. (Ebay, $15.)
One woman said she bought two pins through the mail at a TDS and was charged $6.95 shipping PER PIN. And she bought them from the same store, in the same order. So she really got soaked on shipping.

JudithM: I put in an order with my in-laws. I won't know until tonight for certain. But there has not been any problem in the past with getting extras. With my in-laws, I just don't get the DC 10% off. :(

DH and I are also making a road trip to Lincoln for the compulsion of it. ;)

I got to my DS at 9:05, and two customers were buying pins ahead of me, no lines. My store had all the pins but had received only 1/2 box of # 44 and # 45, so those will be gone soon.
An interesting sidelight. A CM took a phone call while I was there - an order for pins from a lady from NY who was calling from her cell phone at WDW !! She got 2 of each of the pins, but with shipping and charges, the total is about twice what it costs in the store. The CM was shaking her head in amazement. She is just beginning to encounter pin-addicted customers.
I have extras of this week's pins (#39 -45) if anyone wants to trade.

We were about 5th on line, getting there about 8:45 or so. We got ours but they definately short shipped pins as those about 5 or 6 behind us could not get full sets.

I just don't understand why disney is doing this. I can understand not over producing, but this constant under producing is the pits. If your after # 10 on line don't count on getting a full set.

Got to mine about 11:15. Not much left and not much I wanted. Thought they did have extra Grumpy's if anyone needs one.

Got to our store (opens at 10) at 8:05..was THIRD in line..by the time the store opened at least 15-20 people...still very orderly..we have it down to a science by now..lol..store only received 6 Oogie Boogies..and were out of those by the fourth customer..on a side note...there are this weeks pins on ebay..which were listed YESTERDAY..how does anyone account for this one this time???????

I was 8th in line and they were short Oogie Boogie, Darkwing Duck, and Pooh. I only wanted two pins and managed to get both, but the folks behind me weren't able to get any of those three.

my store had its usual 15 to 20 people in line by opening. luckily i was third in line (got there around 9 am) and had no problems, didn't stick around to see what was sold out. next week I'm going out of town need to find a disney store in new york or else i may be stuck having to make some trades, only want a few next week anyway. in other news went to another TDS in the area around 1pm and found a bunch of pins from previous weeks, even the Tigger from Week one, I was shocked.

I got to my mall around 11:45. They had all the pins, and no one was congregating around the pin display. I was going to use the $50 gift cards that I got for buying hopper passes (at Chicago and FL Disney Stores) for DS pins. However, I was able to buy Disney Dollars with those gift cards, so will STOP buying the DS pins and use the DD for pins at WDW! I bought all the pins for the first 5 weeks, so I will use the ones I like the least as traders at WDW. I've never done any pin trading - so it should be interesting.

I got to my store around 9:10-9:15 am and I was 3rd in line. There were about 10 or so people in line when the store opened the crowd was shorter this week then the previous weeks. :) The CM told us that they were short shipped 3 pins, 1 was Oogie Boogie with only 8 of them and I'm not sure about the other pins. I did get all the pins I wanted.

I got to my store at about 8:55 and was 8th in line. By 9:10 I think anyone who was going to get pins was already in line. They did a great job of keeping everything orderly, as usual. The customers at our DS are also great -- very courteous. It looks like it got all of their pins.

The CMs said that we'll be limited to one pin each starting next week. It sounds like a good idea -- that way we all have a better chance of completing our sets. Has anyone else's DS mentioned this?

Yes, the Lincoln store had many pins remaining. I even picked up a few Rocketeers. But NO oogie Boogies were left. There were only two of this week's Pooh pins. I took one. And right after that a woman came in wanting to buy two. I gave her the one I picked up.
I even bought a few Absent Minded Pofessors and one DW Duck.:)
They didn't have any #1 or #7 either. But most others, I think.

I arrived at the Brooklyn,NY store at 8:40 AM & was 12th in line. By store opening at 10AM, there were about 28 people on line. The store received 1 full box each of 4 pins & only about 7 each of Oogie Boogie, Pooh & Darkwing Duck. Even though at least 3 people in front of me just bought 2 or 3 pins each, I was not able to get any of the short shipped pins. I ran a quick errand, called several other Disney Stores & found one that had all the missing pins. An hour later I bought the 3 pins, plus some half price boxed gallery pins.
Several familiar faces from our Brooklyn store line were not present today. I'm sure they've headed for other Disney Stores. I will be next Saturday, also. The 2nd store I went to generally gets 2 full boxes of each pin & even has several pins left over from previous weeks.
I still can't figure out why Disney sends some stores too many & others not enough. Who ever is in charge can't be very bright in my opinion.

I got there an hour earlier than I usually do because last week I was shorted Dopey. This week I was #3 and half the people came and we had double the pins! Bought an extra Oogie Boogie,Happy,Darkwing Duck & Trick or Treat. I also was able to buy 3 ELP light up pins that were DLR returns. Good pin karma. :D

I was determined to be first in line this week. Also, I was bringing my DS#2 along because I hoped to be able to cover a couple of pins for some DIS pinpals who were working this morning.

We arrived at 8 AM and we were not first! I sat down next to a very nice lady, whom I had seen on previous weeks, and learned the awful truth: She will always be first! She works the night shift, gets off at 7:15 AM, and comes straight to the mall! Oh well, I can deal with being second.

The line formed up pretty quickly and by 9 AM we had about our usual crowd of 20. Our store received their full allotment of pins. We have always had a very orderly and friendly crowd, and this week was no different. DS#2 and I took two sets each, kept the extras we needed for our DIS friends, and then walked the line helping those further back fill in where we could. By the time we left at 10:45, everyone who had been in line got what they wanted except one or two pins, here and there. Our store still had a good supply of about three of this week's pins. They were all out of Pooh, Trick or Treat, Reluctant Dragon. They also had received a mid-week shipment of previous week's pins, and had a very full rack with quite an assortment of Haunted House, Tigger, Grumpy, and a bunch of others.

As usual, Jim Kazooie1 and DW Margaret were there. One of our newbies went on and on about surfing through Dizpins, DIS, and Pinpics for the first time! It was fun to see the amazement on his face. :) Another new friend announced her engagement :D and that she would be going to WDW in a few weeks to work on arrangements for her weddng at the Polynesian next October. She wondered how she would get the two pins she needed from that weekend, and, in true pinpal style, three people simultaneously offered to take care of it for her. :D

Luv2Roam, thank you to you & the in-laws for any help with the Reluctant Dragon pins. I've mentioned on a few threads here that I am looking for a handful of these pins for my Saturday "pin friends."

Well, this week we arrived at the mall shortly after 9 a.m., & husband & I were #4 & #5. Before the store opened we were up to #19. One family knew ahead of time that this store was short #40, so some folks in line were on their cel phones calling other people. Many of us brought our pin traders today & made a few trades. Next week more of us are planning to bring pins & go to the food court & trade after we make our purchases. I will say though that everyone maintains a friendly atmosphere. I jokingly remind everyone that we "play nice" here!

My wonderful in-laws came through. They were at the Des Moines store just after it opened. No customers even looking at the pins, but them. She bought what was on my back up "shopping list". ;)
She even bought 4 (count 'em 4) poster pins. (Three earmarked for JudithM. ;) ) The CM's didn't blink an eye or even care about the 2 pp rule. She thinks they are so happy just to sell them, they don't care. The pins are not behind the counter; they are hanging on the racks. MIL says it doesn't appear to matter if they are hanging or not, since no one was there.
She even commented that other guests were looking at her like, "Why are you buying those?" :jester:
MIL said they still had plenty of pins, except for maybe the early weeks.

Barbara, thank you & your MIL! I'm sure we'll have some happy pin traders next week!

Hey Mainepinpal Penny! I was the lunatic who called from my cell phone from WDW and paid all those crazy shipping charges!! (Small world) (It WAS crazy, but not really twice as much as in the store, and DH flipped when he saw the bill, but what could we do?) Here's my rant, they charged $1.00 PER ITEM in "handling fees" on top of the $10.95 shipping cost, bringing the whole cost of shipping to $25.00. I ordered from another TDS on week three when several pins were shorted at my store, and I think I was just charged a flat rate of $9.95 (THAT store, I think in Iowa, is no longer accepting phone orders for these pins). Why don't they have a standard shipping cost and procedure? Anyway, it was worth paying the charge for the peace of mind, with the 2-per-person limit, and my needing two sets, there was no one who could get pins for us! I spent some time reading posts the past few weeks to make a list of TDS's that would likely have enough stock to take phone orders, and your store opened the earliest, 9AM eastern time zone. I could get it taken care of before even leaving my room for Epcot F&W festival!
