I will be a chaperone for a high school band trip. The band is riding a charter bus but I am flying. They will drive straight to MK. Will they have to get dropped off at the TCT?

What is the TCT? Did you mean the TTC? Why would they have to drop off the kids there? They can go directly to the parks in their bus.

However, OP didn't say the bus was parking at the parks. I thought he/she was just asking about dropping off the kids. I assume the bus can drop off kids at the park.

I don't think charter busses can drop off passengers at MK. I believe TTC is correct.

Only Disney resort and park buses are allowed in at the MK. All others, charter buses included, will be directed to the TTC. Are the kids not going to their hotel/resort first? Its a bit strange that they would go directly to MK.

I think if they are performing in the pre-parade, the bus driver may be able to drop them off backstage. Your contact at Disney Performing Arts would have directions.

If they're just going into the park as Guests, their bus would go to TTC.

I agree, if they are performing they would have to have their instruments with them and will have to line up backstage.

Thank you for the replies. They are not performing until Saturday so they will be going in as guest the first day. No they are not going to check in to the hotel until 11pm that night. Yes, it is crazy. They are going to school on Thursday and leaving from school at 3pm. They will stop one time for dinner. Per our band director they will sleep on the bus and arrive at MK at 9am the next morning. They will eat breakfast in the park and will stay at MK until fireworks are finished. The poor kids will be wearing the same clothing for 2 days with hardly any rest. This is why my DD and I are flying. She can get some sleep, take a shower and change clothing. He did this to us two years ago when we went to New York. We did fly that time but we left at 3 am and got to our room at 1am. We then we're on the tour bus at 8 am. Everyone was so tired they didn't really enjoy the whole trip.

That's just absurd. Good thing you are both flying. Driving overnight, sleeping on the bus, going right to the park and staying all day is nutty. But.....leaders get an idea in their head and won't deviate. Hope all goes well with the kids. They should bring a change of clothes (and maybe basic toiletries) on the bus in tote bags. That way they can wash up and change some of their clothing.
