I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. One mans opinion.I don't really understand why people spend all the time recording events on camera which are recording by pros anyway
Some people absolutely love live music.I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. One mans opinion.
I think it was the Foo Fighters who made a comment. In Cardiff, she and the band were performing ‘live’ as twice she stopped, mid song, to call for assistance, when she saw someone distressed in the audience. We saw Taylor 15 years ago in Oshkosh WI. She was considered a Country Western Singer. It was Country USA, In Oshkosh Wisconsin. You could get free tickets at any local resturant if you spent a certain amount of money. Her back up music was not piped in. She played her own guitar with the help of others playing guitar. It was okay, but not the greatest. I get that she is singing live, but that is the whole point of her concert. People want to hear her original music being played with her singing. I just read some musician was dissing her for doing this. I remember going to concerts in highschool and and after and being so disappointed that the music and the songs that were sung, sounded like crap. (We thought what a waste of $25). I would pay the price to see Pink though. I missed out when she was in Milwaukee WI last fall. I remember see the $800 ticket price and thought, wow, the prices are sure out of my league. No wonder Taylor is a Billionaire.
Well technically my Sirius and Apple bills would disagree about ‘free’.I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. One mans opinion.
I hear ya about being old. We went to the Stones concert couple weeks ago. Thank goodness it was a Friday and I could sleep in the next day. Would not have even considered going except for it was a work place team building outing and since I have been there pretty much longer than everyone except the owner I could not get out of it. Didn't really suck as we were in a suite with free food and drinkWell technically my Sirius and Apple bills would disagree about ‘free’.
It’s the tour event that only comes along once in a generation. If I wasn’t old and creaky and in a state that mostly gets passed over for these kind of events I’d be tempted and I’m Old AF.
It’s Swift fever in Miami this weekend, it’s been all over the news on how best to get to and what time to arrive at the stadium. Info about how to get the merch if you don’t have tickets. They even have a sing along train car on the brightline you can get tickets for. I didn’t realize she sold out three nights of concerts at Dolphin’s stadium down here.Update: most of you know EK’s daddy and I are getting divorced. Due to a variety of reasons, he’s going to take her Nov 2. But I’ve got her outfit, made bracelets, and even bought him a Swiftie Dad shirt.
Anyone there who sees a dude playing Toon Blast sitting the whole time….say Hi EKs dad! Lol
I don't have anything really to say about Taylor Swift (besides the fact that my mom is a massive Swiftie) but I hope you and your family are doing okay during this difficult period <3Update: most of you know EK’s daddy and I are getting divorced. Maybe he’ll dance around like Prince William did when he took George and Charlotte to see her. Never underestimate the power of Taylor Swift . . . I am sorry you are missing it though.Update: most of you know EK’s daddy and I are getting divorced. Due to a variety of reasons, he’s going to take her Nov 2. I hear you. As much as I love music it’s rare for me to buy albums and rarer still to pay to attend stadium concerts. Changed a bit when I got older and radio became a fragmented and segregated pay to play format.I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. One mans opinion.
In general I do agree as I'm not a concert person BUT somehow I was roped into going to see Weird Al next year AND I splurged on the VIP package so I get to meet him too. I haven't been to a concert in at least 5+ years so it's something different for me.I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. This cracks me up!!!In general I do agree as I'm not a concert person BUT somehow I was roped into going to see Weird Al next year AND I splurged on the VIP package so I get to meet him too. I haven't been to a concert in at least 5+ years so it's something different for me.
Hey, Al should be honored that he's my first concert in half a decadeThis cracks me up!!!
I love live music and the bands I see are not frequently on the radio and what they play live sound nothing like their studio albums. I also have a group of friends that are going that I wouldn’t normally see. We are seeing Dave Matthews for 2 nights at Mohegan Sun in November and then phish for two nights at Madison Square Garden for their NYE run. At phish I have about 30 friends from all over the country flying in for the shows, plus a few friends outside the country that are coming. I can’t wait for both!I don't understand why people spend money going to concerts anyway. You can hear the same sons free on the radio. One mans opinion.
