I think Taylor has already shown herself to be a nice young woman, while Miley on the other hand has already made some questionable choices.

They are both way too young to tell. I have seen young people who seem to really have their heads on their shoulders make some really bad choices later in life in a delayed rebellion and some young people who made bad choices as young adults turn their life around later in life.

It just seems crazy that Miley has such bad publicity, when her father seems so much more grounded and down to earth. Of course I don't know much about his early start, but I would've hoped he'd keep her on the grounded path.

Taylor definitely. She has handled some difficult situations with poise nad grace while Miley conmtinues to make poor choices without anyone (parents included) speaking up to say it is unacceptable.

What's you definition of respectable? To me its a mature adult who makes good choices, works hard, is able to support themselves and treat others well. I hope they both do that. And I think they both have a chance at that happening.

I think that Taylor has carried herself extremely well. Miley has made some bad choices but that doesn't mean she won't turn out well in life. The jury is definitely out on Miley. She may turn out just fine.

At this moment in time, I'd say Taylor has a better chance, just from what I've seen and heard about both of them up to this point.

Only time will tell but fame that young just seems to mess with kids' heads. They never get to go through normal experiences so their expectations of life seem to be wildly out of whack with reality. Once they are forced to re-assimilate with mere mortals they seem to crash and burn so they stay too long in a town that has no use for them and become late night TV jokes.

I wouldn't wish a life like that on my worst enemy much less one of my kids. To me fame looks a whole lot like the drug Angel Dust, it seems to feel good in the moment but rarely ends well. I hope they do ok but the odds are not in favor of either one.

there have been plenty of stars who had wild starts but settled down nicely -
Drew Barrymore is one example, and Angelina Jolie has turned into a very caring, compassionate, giving person.
I think everyone goes through a "wild" time at some point in their life - some use those experiences to learn and grow; and some get lost in it.
Besides - all we're seeing is the public side of their lives. it's how they are when they're out of the spot light that shows their true character, and we're not privy to that.

Both of them,I think. They both come from fairly normal, functional homes as far as I can tell and neither has shown any sign of going down the Lindsay Lohan road of true debauchery.

I don't envy either of them - I'd hate to hear what people would think of me if my every moment of teenage attitude and rebellion were plastered all over the national media!

I have major issues with taylor swifts portrayal of women in her songs.

Miley doesn't phase me. She's sexualized but I don't think that can determine anything really. Christina Aguliera and Britany Spears did the same thing, one turned out very successful and "respectable" and the other had a "crazy" period.

Tatlor is already 21. She is an adult. Miley isn't quite 18. So, based on age alone, Taylor is the more responsible adult.

I think they have an equal shot at maturing into decent people.

I think Miley will be turning 18 fairly soon, so we will see how she does after that. Being under 18, she is somewhat limited on making her own choices about some things, but once she turns 18, all that could change. I hope for her own sake that she will make wise decisions for herself.

I think in the long run Miley stands a better chance - why? Because she has already lived with the realities of the fickleness of fame. She knows what to expect, what to do to stay famous. I strongly suspect that many, many, many of the scandalous photo shots, outrageous outfits and other questionable behavior are actually a carefully calculated ploy to remain constantly in the public eye in a world flooded with pretty and multi-talented child actors. Let's face it while talented, Miley & Taylor are no more talented than many of their contemporaries (Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice, etc.)

Now, I feel differently about this. At 18 is when you're supposed to be making stupid decisions and from that you learn and become wise. Teens thru early 20's is when you're supposed to be an idiot - it's age appropriate behavior
