Taxi's

I just talked to my travel agent who said that taxis are not readily available at Disney world. Does anyone know how available they are? She said I would have to call for a pick up, etc. I thought they were stationed throughout the World waiting for pick ups. SPecifically, I want to take a taxi from DTD to MK. Does anyone know the availablity of just hooking up with one by chance and without having to call for one?

In my experience there are always available cabs waiting at the resorts. Just ask a valet and they will wave over a cab for you. I don't thing there is a shortage of cabs at Disney.

How about at Downtown Disney? I looked on their brochure map and it looked like they had cab stations or something set up throughout downtown disney. My travel agent said they were hard to come by.

I think there are also plenty of empty cabs at down town disney. I know when La Nuba lets out there are cabs all over the place waiting for fares to drive home. I don't think finding a cab at any Disney site will be an issue. You'll be surprised at how many cabs you will see through out Disney property waiting for fares.
