Taxis from SNA to Onsite Hotel

Has anyone gotten a taxi recently from SNA to one of the DL hotels? We'll be staying at the Paradise Pier, and we've always done Zippy Shuttle in the past. But, since we're flying in so late, I don't want to wait at the airport for the next DL shuttle, or for Zippy to get there.

Where do we find the taxis? Are they already there, and what seems to be the average price to get to the hotels?

We took a cab from SNA to the PPH a few weeks ago. The taxi stand at the airport is easy to find, just follow the signs after you get your bags. It took 15 minutes and cost about $40.

We did a cab from SNA to the DLH about a month ago and it was something like $50 + tip. Would have been less but traffic was a mess. On the way back it was about $42 + tip if I recall correctly.
