Taxi's from EPCOT

We are staying off site on International Drive next week (last minute break - hooray!!)

My husband and I would both like to enjoy a drink or two in the many bars in EPCOTS WS but one of us always has to drive.

We are thinking of getting a taxi to Epcot but not sure if there are going to be any Taxi's back.

Has anyone or does anyone know if there is a taxi rank or anything similar from Epcot?

I'm sure you can call for one at your hotel. And then when you are ready to leave Epcot there are always tons of taxi's ready to take you back to your hotel. You just go left when you exit Epcot like you are heading to the buses and they are out in the first bus lot area.

This is correct. We took a cab from Epcot last month. It is $2 to get in the cab and then .25 cents per eighth of a mile. We ran one from Epcot to Cypress Pointe Resort (which is a mile east of Downtown Disney) and it was close to $30.00 with tip.

Are you kidding? A certain sponsor for this board led me to believe that you could get from just about anywhere to anywhere within Disney property for $13-$15 not including tip.

Is this unreasonable information?

I saw some cabs charging a quarter per ninth of a mile. The cheapest was the eighth of a mile cab that we took. To be fair I tipped him close to 8 dollars. He was super nice, opened the door for us, made sure the air conditioning was nice and cold, let us pick our route (surface streets with lights versus all highway) etc.
So he got tipped well. This was an off property drop as well. So keep that in mind....
