Taxis at Parks?

Wow I feel like the question lady today! Sorry but my head is jumbled with last minute questions! haha

I seem to remember on a past trip, bypassing the enormous crowds waiting for the busses at park closing and heading to a waiting taxi to take us back to the hotel.

Is this still true? Has anyone else done this to avoid the long waits for a bus?

And if so, any idea - roundabout - how much it would cost. My guess is like $15-ish? We're talking from Epcot or MK to POR. I wouldn't be staying late at the other 2 parks.

I would like to know this as well. Just us girls are going this Oct and since we wont have DH along to help us I may be willing to take a taxi back if that would be the quickest way with tired kids. (and mom)

I don't know about the cost, but remember that at MK you will still need to get to the TTC, that means a monorail or ferry boat. From the MK the bus may still be faster if you are staying till close.

At closing do they have a lot of busses reasy to go? I can only imagine that there would be masses of people leaving then.

How about a taxi from Epcot to ASMu? I thought I remembered seeing then next to the busses? same with MGM?
