Taxis and carseats

Hi!

I am sure this may have been asked before but what's one more time =P

We won't have our daughters car seat at the airport (lap child), and I was wondering what taxi companies you knew of that provide actual car seats upon request. I saw one company but seemed like theirs were booster seats. Or a car service do they do it? We aren't going until July but I am TREMENDOUSLY (lol) excited and am crazy planner person =P

A quick question on taxis.

If I book a taxi using the Mears app, will it arrive with an amount to pay already on the meter - Do they charge travelling time to you like they do here in London?

KenziesMommy85, I don't know the answer to your question. I prefer to bring my own car seat that way I know the seat is safe and in good condition. The airlines have always allowed us to check it for free as well as our stroller.

masterofthehouse, In North America, taxis start the meter when you get into the car. There is a fee for turning on the meter and then a per mile charge and / or a standing charge. You would also be expected to pay any tolls or fees related to your trip.

We used mears luxury suv service and asked for a car seat. Worked out well and wasn't too expensive.
