Does anyone use a taxi from MCO to WDW?

Are the rates set?

We've rented cars and used a car service, so I'm interested in trying a taxi this trip (February).

Mears website has a taxi fare estimator. According to their guide going from MCO to Epcot would cost $47.75. (I just used Epcot because I do not know which hotel you will be using) This does not take into consideration that you may run into a lot of traffic, to be on the safe side you may want to add a few dollars and this does not include tip. I would guess it will run you somewhere between $55.00 to $60.00.
If you are staying at a WDW resort, I would just use Magical Express.

We've used a few taxi's in our travels from the Kissimmee train station and the rates vary with the amount of traffic. Cab's are metered time wise too plus per mile so sitting in traffic the meter is still ticking. We finally decided, after a bad trip once in a cab from Amtrak to WDW, bad was too much traffic and driver taking the long way, to look for a car service. We do not want to rent a car, not needed for us while at Disney and factoring in a cab both ways for our trip, average cost 80 bucks plus tip we found a great car service for 82 bucks round trip. They provided excellent service and a 30 minute grocery stop, we also wanted alcohol and they found a Publix with a booze store next door. Our train was 3.5 hours late and we called them to provide the information and they said they check too and were aware and not to worry. They were there, car running, our name on a sign, took our baggage claims and retrieved our bags. First rate service, comfort and ease of mind knowing someone is waiting for you. Sunray was excellent and we're using them in January for the same service.

We figured what we saved in the grocery and booze stop was worth the little extra over a cab, cabs are dirty and smoke smelling, and even a delivery service for groceries since we like to see what we're getting and we do have to get from the train station to WDW, why not pick a car service and they throw in the grocery stop, beer, wine and alcohol savings paid for the car service.

Pepe, what car service did you use? Thanks.
