I am not a big fan of flying and am considering taking Amtrak. The town car options that I have seen seem to be around $60 each way. Has anyone gotten any better deals than this? They all claim to be about the same price or cheaper than a cab but are taxi's really that expensive?

Town car is usually cheaper round trip IME than a taxi but my experience is from the airport to WDW. I don't know if the train station is closer or further away :)

Town car @ 110 plus tip round trip and my one taxi ride was 67 plus tip for the same ride.

With a town car you can make a reservation so you know exactly what the cost will be and you know the driver will be waiting for you on both ends. With a taxi you are at the mercy of the meter and the route he/she decides to take you - as well as traffic!

Google "orlando taxi fare calculator" to find out what the fare would be from whatever station you are getting off at.
