Hi All .. anyone know a ball park figure regarding what it would cost to take a taxi from Orlando International Airport to the Wilderness Lodge? Also, we'll be traveling with a 15 month old, and will have a car seat. Anyone ever tried a car seat on a Mears shuttle? I'm trying to decide what would be cheapest, and easiest, given that we're traveling with a baby. Thanks!

Done mears and the limo w/ a carseat and not a problem. We are a family of 3 as well so I have one suggestion..it is about $5.00 more for the limo and well worth it. You can do a grocery stop (for diapers etc if need) and the amount of time saved is priceless. We used Yourride.net for our last 5 trips would never get on mears again!!

I agree that you should definitely use towncar service instead of Mears. With towncar service (we used YourRide) you are the only passengers so you go directly from the airport to your hotel with a complimentary grocery stop if requested. With Mears you must go to all of the resorts of everyone on the shuttle until your own stop! The hassle is not worth it.

Thank you for the information .. it sounds good. Any ideas about how much we'd be paying for a towncar service?

We used Tiffany Town Car. They're on the web...tiffanytowncar.com.
They have a $5 off coupon there too. They have car sears if you need one and do a grocery stop as well. They're about $85-$90 round trip depending on where you're staying. Very reliable...you pay the total cost when you get to your hotel (credit cards accepted) and tip the driver each way ($8 to $10) depending on whether or not you stop. You can book the whole thing on line.

Most seem to have coupons on their website for $5.00 off. Be sure to print it out. If you link to the website it will give you the round trip price. Our price from from MCO to AKL was $80.00 with the coupon from Yourride.net

Cartiertowncar.com
was $75.00 roundtrip. (no coupon but we did get a $5.00 discount for booking on line). So there is a $5.00 difference...we have used Yourride.net in the past so we will probably go with them. That also includes a booster seat and grocery stop at no charge for both companies. I priced Tiffany, Fl Tours, Yourride, and Cartier for our upcoming trip. Cartier and Yourride were by far the less expensive. Good Luck!

Most wonderful information .. thank you so much. Is seems that with a family, this is the way to go! Thanks again!!
