Taxi to any Disney Outlet stores??? Too Much $$??

After reading about the great Disney Outlet stores....Does anyone know if you can take a cab to one of the outlets and not spend a fortune? We are going in June and not renting a car. Thanks!!

Taxis in the Orlando area run $3.25 for the first mile and $1.75 each additional mile. There has been talk of increasing due to fuel costs. The closest to WDW, at the Orlando Premium Outlets, would be about ten miles from Epcot area resorts (which would be closest) so you would be looking at about $20 (plus tip) each way.

Last year we went to the premium outlets and a CM gave me this advice. Which actually worked...catch a bus to DD and take a taxi from there. The taxi should only be about $10. I followed her advice and went to DD and caught the taxi. It ended up being $7. So, too sum it up leave from DD!

I have never been to the Lake Beuna Vista Outlet Mall, but according to their website there is a free shuttle from various hotels in the Orlando area (none onsite). maybe you could see which hotel is closest to you and get a cab there, then get the free shuttle. You might want to check what others think of this outlet though. It isn't mentioned as much as the other two. When in June will you be there? I could use a shopping buddy. My DH hates to shop

We will miss you by about ten days. We're driving from MN (June 9 - 25 .. not all at WDW). A first for us too. I want to hit at least a couple of outlets. DH will put up a stink I'm sure. I'll probably just drop him and the kids off at the hotel and head out from there. Have a fun time.
