Taxi time/schedule question

I am looking to get a taxi from Coronado to Port Orleans Riverside, and on the Mears site, it shows I can get it a towncar for $16 and then a 10% discount, so $14.40. Anyone know roughly how long that ride would take?

That would be scheduling in advance for the towncar. If I were to do a regular cab, would the price be much different? And if I don't reserve it ahead of time, how far in advance should I call them or have the concierge call them? I'd be looking to have them at our resort (Corondao) in time to get us to POR by 6:45pm.

I think $14.40 seems very reasonable, but if a normal cab is like $8, I might do that instead.

I didn't take that route, but we used taxis all last week because I was alone with 4 young kids and a large double stroller to manage. Taxis ranged from $12-14 from Port Orleans Riverside to all the parks, trip time was only 10-15 minutes and we never waited more than 5 minutes to get a taxi at the resort or parks.

If I wanted to ensure I was definitely on time, I'd likely schedule to have a taxi waiting for me at 6:15pm to allow for any traffic issues that could happen.

Half an hour should be more than enough time. There are usually taxis waiting at the main entrance of all the resorts. Even if there aren't, bell services can call and have one there in just a couple of minutes. I wouldn't expect a taxi to be more than a couple of dollars cheaper than the price quoted to you. It all depends on how the traffic is when you're on the road.
