Taxi ranks

Hi guys

Just thinking about the evening's where we don't fancy waiting for the busses at park close to go back to our hotel, POFQ. Do each park have taxi ranks outside? Are there cabs always waiting or do they need to be called?

Additionally, we've an Uber account, are they a better option that the Mears taxi's? And how easy is an Uber pick-up when everyone is piling out of the parks at the end of the night?

If I remember correctly the other taxi company is Mears. Very easy to get one.

Disney just started their Minnie Van Lyft service and it was wonderful leaving MK because they came right to the park near the buses. We used it to leave MK most nights and loved it. We also used it from HS one night when it was so so hot and a long line for boat and buses - it was wonderful.

Ah thanks DisneyFansNYC, so the Minnie Vans run FROM the parks then? I thought they were only being rolled out at a couple of resorts at the moment...

I'd like to know about Uber, Minnie vans and taxis also. I'm staying at Grand Floridian. Do the Minnie vans go there yet? which is best to choose?

No taxis for us, Uber or Lyft...the Minnie Vans I think are run by Lyft.... the cars are clean and the drivers are nice and drive you the shortest route... not like the cab drivers that go the scenic route, and the cabs are normally dirty and smell like feet or vomit... Each park will have taxi's and area for Uber and Lyft...There is a staging area for both normally we only wait maybe 10 minute's at the most for Uber, which is our go to. There are signs as you leave the parks or just ask the CM and they will point you in the right direction. With uber and lyft you can get a ride and choose which way you want to ride and if you need a car seat and such... or luggage...We are locals and use Uber all the time to get in and out of the parks... Like tonight when we are heading for F&W...

Taxis are everywhere at WDW. You won't have any problem getting one.
