Taxi POR - MK

Hi Everyone..
So way back when I was planning out my days I asked my travel agent if I would be able to take a bus to the park on the mornings of May 2nd and 3rd to make a BBB appt at 8 am and a CRT reservation at 8:05 am, she said yes.. no problem. Well yesterday I called the BBB to get my confirmation number and I just decided to ask again about the buses and was told that no the buses won't run that early. I can't get a later appt that day for the BBB or CRT so it looks like we will be taking a taxi. Does anyone know how much this will cost? I asked my travel agent and she doesn't know but then again she didn't know that I couldn't take the bus at that time either (this isn't the first time she has made a huge error with us, when the spring sales came out she told us that it wouldn't save us money so I double checked and not only did it save us $80 CND we were able to upgrade to the Royal Rooms) anyhow, cost of a taxi from POR to the MK and also is it hard to get a taxi at that time in the morning? How long would it take to get from POR to the MK? Also if there is anyone else going to be staying at POR and also planning on taking a taxi on May 1st or 2nd before 8 am let me know and maybe we could share, there is three of us though.. wow I sound really cheap.. I am not... just finding a lot of added misc costs... ones that i didn't really plan for. Thanks folks! Have beautiful day

There's no need for a taxi and your travel agent was correct. Disney buses start running at approximately 6:30am to accommodate those with early reservations.

I would take the taxi. It will save you time, and only cost around $20. Plus you won't have to stand there at the bus stop, wondering when the bus will show up. You would need to be at the bus stop at 6:30 am too.

Taxis are not hard to get. They are typically waiting close by for fares, all you need to do is walk out the front of the resort and have bell services get one for you. Or if you want to be doubly sure call the night before and request one for a specific time.

The number one rule for Disney trip planning: Phone CMs are wrong more often than they're right.

Thanks everyone. I was so confused when i spoke with the phone CM and then I looked at the Disney site and it also said that they run an hour before so then I was even more confused.. but I knew that you all would know the truth... this is a great community.

Nah. Seven AM. If they miss that bus, or it gets to be 7:15ish, walk hover to Bell Services and ask someone to get a taxi. And have the driver take you to the Contemporary, not the TTC.

Probably 7 am. But Disney themselves state to allow 90 minutes. And good point about getting dropped off at the Contemporary. Definitely do that if you use a taxi!
