Taxi or WDW transportation?

Can someone please help?

I'm staying at ASMovies and on arrival day we are taking DME to our resort. We land at 4PM. We have PS at AKL at 8PM. I know that it takes a few hours to get to the resort and check in and so on...I figure 7PM we'd be ready to actually get going to dinner. Is it better for us to take a taxi to AKL rather than the buses to AK then to AKL? I have a DD 8 months who would need a car seat for the taxi. We didn't plan on taking the seat since she will be a lap child for the plane ride and we are staying at a WDW resort.

Anyone have problems/similiar experiences with taxis and car seats?

What time does AK close that day? You may not be able to get a bus to AK. You could take a bus to MGM and then transfer. I guess it depends on how much time you actually have to get to AKL. 7PM would be cutting it tight if you go to MGM first. 7 would be OK if you could go to AK.

Of couse a taxi would probably cost only $5 plus tip.

I would DEFINITELY take a taxi, whether the AK is open or not. You've been through the stress of traveling all day and the last thing you want to do is wait for bus connections.

But I can't help with the car seat situation...sorry.
